The Augmented Reality "demo" is intended to show the potential of that feature. And that it certainly did -- in fact, it is due to the incredible impression that it made on me that I am looking forward to software making use of that feature more than I am of future titles making good use of the 3D screen. I expect more, and I don't think I'll be disappointed. I have no intention of convincing you or anyone else to buy a 3DS. You've apparently experienced it and are not all that impressed, so I doubt there's anything I could say anyway even if I wanted to. That's ok though -- why people want an iPad is still a big mystery to me, but you can't argue with results -- someone actually thinks its fun to type out papers or do their chatting by simulating keypresses on an image of a keyboard behind a glass board with pretty pixels. Far be it from me to rain on their touchscreen.

I don't quite get the mystery here. It's a Nintendo handheld, in a long line of Nintendo handhelds that have at least up to now never wanted for developer and publisher interest. It certainly would not be wishful thinking to believe that more software is coming, even if there were not already a bevy of titles already announced for the system. I have been coming to GS a long time, and yes at least part of the reason I come here is for the reviews. Having said that, GS reviewers are not God-like individuals to me, who could somehow never be wrong or never undercut (or overshoot) a score for a particular game. As much as I enjoy the reviews and respect the reviewers, my impressions of a particular game are never close enough to those official scores published by this site to allow for it to act as an excuse to avoid making choices and turn myself into a GS-programmed-automaton. The median score only has the kind of significance you ascribe it if it is in fact "the answer to life, the universe, and everything". In my case, the median score at GS is interesting, but no more interesting than "42" or any other number that can be thrown out there.

In most cases I preferred the 360 shots, especially for Dead Space. But for Fallout 3, I think the PS3 shots look better.

Interesting on the Assassin's Creed game. There are images I like better on the 360 version (numbers 4 and 5), but there are also images I prefer on the PS3 version (numbers 3 and 6). The other two seem tied.

This is clearly a list of games that people might have overlooked before, but are now cheaper and worth collecting. It is not a comprehensive list of must-have titles, people. Btw, to the writers of this, Mario Kart DS was not released on November 14, 2006.

The Mantorok Rune in "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem". It made all the spells better, and even turned the "Reveal Invisible" spell into a spell that made the character invisible from all enemies. It really made the game a breeze!
