Congress shouldn't be paid while it's shutdown, you don't get paid for failing.

[QUOTE="lzorro"]I have deep felt sympathy for Japan. But I'm a bit perturbed by some of the people who are using this disaster as a sign or proof of something else. For instance "Yep. Jesus is coming." Is it just me or does it just seem slightly off that someone would use a disaster to justify something like this? I'm not heavily religious, but I still believe in religion.AnnoyedDragon

Figures. I tell my mom about the earthquake, and she starts going off about the End of Days.. I need to stop telling her about bad news.JustPlainLucas

You have to wonder their reasoning behind it. Given their God is supposed to be kind and loving, but they give credit to him for these terrible events.

In all reality the most important thing should be the the caring for these people, no one should justify it as the coming of Jesus. Or anything else. It seems inhumane, to say you have sympathy but then use such a horrific even to justify your ideals.
