Moved country, wanted to be able to play Demon's Souls remake + my PS4 library. Worked out quite nicely for me.

Very well deserved! Easily my GOTY and second time Gamespot has gone against the grain and picked my fav (other time being Demon's Souls).

Lack of Half-Life: Alyx is very sad.

@Pedro: the game would suck in non-VR. It's entire pacing and design is built around being VR. E.g. the pace of firefights is slower than in a regular FPS and actions like taking cover which you physically have to do yourself take longer etc...

For the record HL:A was brilliant and somewhat of a pleasant surprise tbh

Preordered a disc version for two reasons:

1) Demon's Souls remake (the original is one of my all-time favourites)

2) I moved country and this will let me play my PS4 games.

I've been surprised and sad there hasn't been more discussion about it (e.g. the amazing level design in chapter 7 and the trippy ending), but it makes sense given the relatively small target audience.

I agree it has a few flaws/rough spots, but despite any of these it certainly feels greater than the sum of its parts and isn't like anything else I have experienced.

Also I should note the game feels very different in VR compared to what you see watching streams or videos of it.
