GTAIV or Metal Gear Solid 4. Fallout 3 is another possibility. Outside of these games I don't see many other contenders. As much as I loved Fable 2 it does have too many issues to hold it back from GOTY. And Gears 2 although definitely superior and more refined than the original is still more or less business as usual so it shouldn't get GOTY though that doesn't make it any less one of the best games of '08.Ket87

Well I thought you meant comparing the two all together is what you were tired of, not comparison of their similar aspects.
