Well i seem to have stopped the crashes (Knock on wood). I was reading through the AC4 forums on Ubisofts website and i saw a post from someone that had the same graphics card (GTX 580, i know it's old) he said that he was using 314.22 Nvidia Drivers and had 0 crashes.

So i uninstalled the latest drivers and installed the above ones, well i've play 2 hours since then and had 0 issues. PC Gaming is strange.

Well i've played about 5 hours so far and it's crashed alot for me.

The first 30 mins i ran everything on high settings (even with my 2 year old PC) but as soon as i had the ability to go where i want in my ship it's just been painful to play. Sometimes it will crash within minutes, other times i'll get anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes of gametime before it will crash to the desktop.

Wished i had got it on a console now.

Did you update the video card drivers? The latest ones (NVIDIA) are optimized for AC4.

I'm 14 hours in and no crashes yet so far.

331.82? All my drivers are up to date, maybe it's worth trying the beta ones. I had the same issue with Farcry 3, my system must not like Ubisoft games lol.

You could look at:

Sennheiser HD400 series (e.g. 439, 449)

Sennheiser HD518 (£80, open back)

Shure SRH440 (£85)

Audio Technica ATH M40

AKG also have some offerings in your price range.

kraken2109

Thanks for the suggestions, leaning towards the Sennheiser brand since i have a pair of in-earphones from them for my MP3 player. I just don't know what to pick.

So after about a year and half my massive JVC RX700's broke (One of the ear pieces has fallen off it's wire). They were good sound quality but they were really heavy.

Budget - £75 (About $120)

Can't be USB connection as i need it to work with PC and PS3. Current setup is PC and PS3 both connected to Creative T7900 Speakers (Yeah they are old) and then i plug my Headphones into the port on the volume control.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.
