I'll say that fallout 3 is a game that i'm looking foward to as id did with oblivion it dosen't look like oblivion with guns to me becuase obilivion with guns would look like well oblivion with guns and i missing out on the previous fallouts games beucae of my young age and no one in my house had any interest for them.

I'm glad it isn't that isometric like view where the only combat is clicking on something until its dead or your dead becuase you havn't gone put tonnes in to grinding that sucks all the fun out of games oblivion got that right for an RPG no grind.

I hate them and would have turned people off who want something More i'm bored with Diablo III my just being some click fest is that really what the pc can do in action RPGs surely not as clicking on stuff isn't action and develop a character

After reading hands on preview i was shocked what they have done to my beloved Fallout. Whats your opinion?

It looks like they're using an updated version of the warcraft III engine and added in bump mapping, shader 2.0, and havok physics.

 

I would probably give the game an 8/10 for graphics, but I really do hope that these graphics aren't final because they can really do so much more with it. There's still shader 4.0 as well as HDR that they could implement. Plus they need to improve on the art style a bit, it's missing the grittiness that the original starcraft has. Way too much of the art style is based on warcraft III.

And what exactly would pixel shader 4 add to gameplay? Its just graphics, no one has played a game for ten years because of graphics, but people did play games because of content...

Oh, that's a tough one. I'm unbelievably divided between Rpg and Strategy games. Command & Conquer or Baldur's Gate? Warcraft or Icewind Dale? Starctaft or Planescape: Torment? Tough choice, but in the end I would choose Rpgs since I can handle rpgs better and because, more importantly, Planescape: Torment is my favorite game. Unrivaled and unsurpassed as of yet.Georgemen
