Cuz I enjoy it and have fun I guess . Why else would anyone play games ?

I Used to be a big fan of Halo . But when a game that gets to 7th-8th in the series ....
I mean Halo games are always pretty good and fun , But it's not anything new and exciting like it used to be .
And also I didn't like Halo 5's story at all . I liked Halo 4 but the way that they chose to continue the story in Halo 5 was just bad . I don't think I'll play or even think about Halo 6 .
Halo games
Star Wars Battlefront 2
Star Wars KOTOR
A Burnout game which I don't remember which one was it , But I played it A LOT
GTA San Andreas
The Elder scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim
PES 2006 and 2009
Total War Rome
Total War Shogun
Fallout 4
Mass Effect trilogy as a whole
The Witcher 3
Forza 4
Born in 1996 .
2002 : My cousin gave me his Play Station ( the first one )
2004 : Family bought me original Xbox along with Halo 2 .
2007-2011 : Mostly played on an old PC . Family couldn't buy me a Console during this time , Or Upgrade the PC , So I really didn't play games in this period . Played most of the good games released in this period when I bought Xbox 360 .
2011 : Bought Xbox 360 . Actually the first thing that I managed to buy with my own money .
2014- till Now : Well I became a university student and I game on a fairly decent lap top in dorm . Good enough to run Witcher 3 on medium settings .
I'm not a fan of the game, but its kind of bogus to say the game is not a very good game. Even though I personally dont like many aspects of it, I can easily understand why other people love it.
Theres a difference between personal opinion and overall game quality. I know both are subjective.
I wonder what the consensus definition of a 'good game' around here is?
Thank You sir . Just wanted to say the same thing but my English wasn't good enough .
I personally don't enjoy games that are too linear and too short or too cinematic , But I wouldn't say those games are crap now when i see many people are enjoying them .
Really for me the definition of a good game is the game that I enjoyed it and had fun with it . That's it really . If I am engaged in a video game , If I enjoy my time with it and want to continue and beat it , And put many hours into it , then it goes into the " Good game " section .
Witcher 3 is most definitely an amazing game for me since I played around 300 hours of it .
Anyone else try turning off the mini-map ? It actually improves your experience . because in this way there is so much exploring happening , It sorta gets like Elder scrolls where you have to look at the map all the time . It's just more Natural this way .
Although I got lost a few times when I was searching for something with my Witcher senses , But if you like Exploring , It's much more rewarding when you turn off the mini map .
if I have to name a few flaws , I have to say the searching and talking sometimes Does get really boring . Sometimes I'm just like : Give me a contract ! Give me a Beast to kill I'm tired of Talking !
Fortunately , you can fallow another guest and go exploring and kill Beast at any time .
Combat is also a bit boring on lower difficulties or fighting with something with lower level than you . But When it gets hard , it's really enjoyable and exciting .
Also , The Controls with mouse and keyboard are horrible . I bought a Controller to play this game comfortably .
Anyway , The Flaws that the guy mentioned in the video do make sense But still doesn't change the fact that there is tens of hours of entertainment in this game , There is so much hard work put into this game , Its so polished , Detailed and Good looking and it totally absorbed many gamers into it's rich world . Seriously I didn't even realize how the hours gone by when I was playing this game . I just looked at the clock and saw 5 hours have past and I'm still playing Witcher . And I would just say : " F*** I have no life " , And then just Continued playing it .
they are not for me . I like challenging Gameplay that gives me a hard time and it's rewarding when I beat it . and also make me want to replay it again . Variety , Customization , strategy ... these are things that make me like a game . being big in scale and scope and having a big world with a lot to explore and discover with open areas for combat is the thing that I like the most .
So there are 3 Sci Fi Real Time Strategy games that I'm Really Interested in and I want to get one of to play . I don't play online much and I'm mostly interested in the Skirimish mode against AI . a good campgain is also welcome but not as Important as the Skirmish mode .
- Homeworld : Deserts of Kharak
- Ashes of Singularity
- Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
(if you think another Sci Fi Strategy game is better than these please mention )
