I've been a huge battlefield and battlefield 3 fan for quite awhile now, however the newest update which added buy able upgrades and rent a server has made me hate Battlefield 3. While I like the whole idea of making servers on you ps3 and customizing it the way you want to, a lot of the servers I've played on, the admins are quite dicks and that's nicely put. I know there are some really good servers out there, but what I really want is to just easily find EA officially hosted servers and play one full game where I don't get kicked for killing the admin or using a gun they don't like (I don't use the usas or shotguns :)). I've also noticed a lot of team balancing issues. In several rounds I palyed on different servers almost half of my team or the other team left because the opposing team was just way to strong and began to spawn camp. When I play bf3 I don't want to spend time researching what servers are good. I don't mind people setting up servers but it gets annoying when they mix it in with official servers. Leave the custom servers in the server browser, and offical servers in auto match.

Comparing Dragon Age Origins (a party based, story driven old school RPG) to Skyrim (a first person sandbox game) is by far the unfairest comparison you could ever make, they are the oposite side of the RPG espectrum, and doing it in 3 hours it is even worse. I guess there are games for everybody, I happen to enjoy both game enourmusly but for very different reason; one tells me a great story and the other allows me to amke a story of my own....Id suggest giving Skyrim another shot, try some mods for the things you do not like, if not I guess you might be out of luck since while the Beth games get better with each release Bioware (since beign bought by EA) get worse and worse...

For ther ecord I believe Dragon Age Origins to be the BEST RPG of all time...

While I can agree with you on several points (comparing dragon age with skyrim, ea sucking). I must say that I knew skyrim was not going to be a Dragon Age type game. I looked forward to the first person fighting, and and completely new experience it would bring. However I thought the game was poorly executed in general and wasted so much potential.

Actually I would have to say I'm completely opposite of that. I found skyrim to be extremely linear for an RPG game that is why i didn't like it. The choices you make in the dialogue options are very generic and doesn't impact the game as much as I thought it would. I love freedom in games, and I think skyrim and the whole TES series does a good job in giving you freedom. However if they do give you freedom then they have to give you something to do. One example would be GTA SA. San Andreas gave the player so much freedom. But they didn't only leave it there. They added so many more elements to the game to actually make the freedom they give you worth it. While skyrim did add an immense amount of things to do, they just weren't interesting in my opinion. A lot of things such as combat just got repetitive and boring for me. Crafting weapons and exploring new lands and meeting new people became just as repetitive. For some people they may have enjoyed it, but once again this is only my opinion :)

Let me start by saying this is not a rant, and that I love playing rpgs. Before skyrim was released I was super psyched for it. It looked gorgeous, with tons to do, and an amazing adventure in general. However as I started to play more and more of it, my opinion about it dropped. First off, Skyrim had HUGE potential to be one of the greatest games created. However I think the devs focused more on the size then on the quality. I know you shouldn't expect Bethesda to perfect the small details in a game, but at least some attention would be nice. When i slash people with more sword, it doesn't even look like my sword made contact. This takes so much out of each battle. And another issue is that the battles are just boring. I didn't feel excited to take on another dragon, or fight another enemy. Instead I felt as if it was a chore to just gaining xp. The final main issue I had with this game,it was just too overwhelming. I loved the decisions you could make in dragons age, and the leveling up. But with skyrim, you have to make a decision for every little thing which barely impacts the game compared to the decisions in Dragon Age. Near my 3rd hour I didn't want to choose anymore I could've cared less if the game just played out by itself. Anyways, that's just my opinion guys. I know some of you may actually enjoy the issues the parts I hated. Leave your opinions below, maybe you can convince me to replay skyrim :). I think in the end, I'm not mad at the game but rather at Bethesda for running a game with so much potential.
