i think i'm curious, but i really hope for the interesting themes that SAC dealt with all the time. even in the stand-alone episodes of the series, there was always something deep to think about.

what i don't like is that solid snake's japanese voice actor isn't doing batou for this one...there's a whole new cast, i'm sort of disappointed. but it is done by Production IG, which means the animation should be good.

it's funny, i always thought MGS reminded me of GITS quite a bit, in terms of atmosphere, or themes or something. the "reimagination" of the series and movies that is GITS: Arise might be similar to revengeance in how different people are taking different approaches to the same universe.

and, just to clarify, (as long as wikipedia's info on it is accurate), Arise is a four-part series of movies, which will also have manga adaptations.

How can you not beat multiplayer on bronze? It's only hard until you get to like level 5.

The-Apostle
I can't last two minutes playing by myself.

playing by yourself on multiplayer? if you have some teammates, they can revive you when you're dying. it's natural; it happens to everybody, even on wave 1. you might be able to do multiplayer by yourself if you get a lvl 20 character, which really isn't so hard if you have good teammates. and to get 100% galactic readiness only takes about five matches...again, not so hard if you have the time. but hey, if you don't enjoy it, there's no need to bother with it.

there are fixes/approximations that you can find online, if you do a google search.

i used mass effect tools to fix mine. when i tried it, the eye color, hair/facial hair shape and color, and nose were all reset to default, but i had a pretty good idea of what my shepard looked like in the first place, so it wasn't hard to reconstruct. i think you might be able to import from x360 if you do a couple work-arounds.

the way i see it, it depends on how much you're willing to change. if you want to be solid-as-a-rock never-give-in-to-anything outright your way, then you may not find anyone who sees things strictly the way you do enough of the time for you to call it a happy relationship.

if you are looking for the perfect "fit" --- where your other is your fit as one piece in a jigsaw puzzle to the other--then yes, it could be quite worrisome. i'm not quite sure any such person could ever exist...

instead of finding the other piece that merely fits, wouldn't it make more sense to find someone who has the ability to change to fit you, instead of someone who thinks they can be the same piece the rest of their lives? of course, if you want someone who can change to fit you, you have to change to fit them.

there are of course some pieces that fit better than others--but as long as you can change (or respect), the differences may not matter at all.

sheesh, you sheeple. you can teach someone a thing or two in a nice way, show them evidence, back it up...

but when you start belittling other people, looking down on them--they're not going to want to listen, you're only wasting your time.

if you really want the truth to be known, the false to be disproved--then teach, don't spite!

when you teach, you teach for the students' sake. not your own.

but about the argument itself, i think any weapon is dangerous in the right hands--but even then, it takes just one moment of bad luck for your opponent to ruin your life. you can prepare your whole life to defend yourself from what you may see, but you can never prepare for that which you cannot see. so yes, one weapon may be able to consistently win over another, but humans learn and adapt--what may have worked once against your opponent may not work again.

sure, the longsword could be better than the katana in several aspects--but since when have people given up when they lose an edge? in martial arts, you see tons of techniques taught to protect the bare-handed and disadvantaged from armed attackers. there may be disadvantage at first, but with enough practice and experience, your opponent's tool can be turned against himself.

and if we can't agree on anything--just be glad that none of us need to pick these weapons to protect our lives, and that we have the safety enough to be able to have this argument! good night, all.

O'Reilly kind of has a point with the media labeling him as Christian... but I don't agree with his reasons. It doesn't make sense for them to label him a Christian when his beef was a political one, and not a religious one.

Muslim terrorists kill because of their "Holy War" with the West. They kill in the name of their religion. That is why they are referred to as "Muslim terrorists". Didn't he kill because he doesn't like how he thinks Muslim's are taking over his native land? He could have been athiest and held the same opinion.

BMD004

people only think Muslims are killing in a holy war with the west. Did you know that in the Quran--yes, THE holy book of the Muslims--it is said that to kill one innocent human being is tantamount to killing all of humanity? Yeah, it's true. But you won't hear that on television.

**Death Note Spoilers Ahead!!--sort of maybe...**

It's interesting: listening to dialogue in different languages, noticing the difference in syntax, emphasis, the different sounds native in each language.

But it becomes very entertaining when you compare the ways actors in different languages/cultures try to convey different emotions.

This is an excerpt from Death Note (in case you haven't seen the whole anime, this Kira guy has been playing the other guys all along and, now cornered, laughs his head off in revelation of his true identity). Which voice actor do you think has the most convincing evil laugh? Or maybe it's not the chill through your bones you find most effective; maybe it's the general sense of madness?

Some people may like to think the original is where it's all at, but i think Spanish and Italian provide some pretty good competition. (Russian, on the other hand, seems sort of...half-hearted. maybe it's just the microphone?)

P.S.--Even if you don't care for the anime, or learning different languages, laughing along with these guys is still pretty fun...

so a couple of you happen to dislike the english dub verions of some anime. but what about the original japanese/non-censored versions? if the japanese version of an anime was respectable, that would make the anime as a whole respectable, leaving only the dub to be "the worst--" so the anime is not entirely the worst, but only its english dub version.

so just take your potato chips, and eat them...

i though black blood brothers was bad. it seemed interesting all along, and in the end, the relationship he had with his "brother" was really a romantic one, with this "brother" being a reincarnation of his lover.

and ergo proxy. the music killed it, and some parts were sort of hard to follow. the beginning was really slow, too.

This. Anything by him is good for reflecting/thinking.

seconded. have you heard his "Winter Lane" remix? i never like the opening, so i never used to listen to it, but when i tried it, i thought, "wow, that guy can turn even the most crashing drums into something nice and peaceful!" it's too bad he died in that car accident a few years back, though.
