Too little, too late, guys. If it wasn't for the 6/10 scores that Gamespot and IGN gave this masterpiece, we might have seen higher sales, and a sequel.
That said, I can kind of understand why a reviewer having to power through this game in a marathon session to meet a deadline wouldn't have a good experience. Just like no one wants to watch a four-hour horror movie, similarly a game as intense as this is best experienced in modest chunks--maybe 2-3 hours at a stretch. It took me a couple of weeks to actually play through it, and that was just the right pace, IMO.
@sellingthings: I managed to finish 4, but with little enthusiasm. It looked so amazing in previews but somehow didn't really click for me.
Contrast that with 3, one of my favorite games of recent years--I played it compulsively for hours everyday, like a job, just waking up every morning and turning it on during my Christmas vacation. Good times.
John Wick was the best American action film since the original 'Die Hard.' With two 15-month old kids I pretty much only get to go to the movies once a year, but I think I'm going to use my voucher for this. Screw 'The Last Jedi'!
