My room mate had this same thing happen with a Magnavox TV that he purchased. He called researched online and found out that the TV really did 1080p, Magnavox just didn't rate it at the same quality as other 1080p TV's that they sell, so they only advertise it at 720p. He believes it looks better on the 1080p setting.

Yes, I've been playing Killzone 2 in 1080i. I might switch back to 720p though. When I'm not moving the image looks more Hi Res, but when I'm in a fast MP match the game doesn't seem to run as smoothly as it did in 720p.

At First I really hated the controls. But I'm getting used to them now. Would anyone mind telling me what sensitivity they use on the X and Y axis? So far I really like the Alternate 2 control scheme, although Standard 1 really isn't bad either.

Honestly I really, really want to like Killzone 2. But it just isn't fun to me.....all of the multiplayer functions, and a great single player game are kinda put to waste because of how badly this game controls. I don't care what anyone says, right now the game isn't fun. I'm not saying I want COD4 controls. Other FPS games that have come out like FEAR2, HAZE, and even the Rainbow Six games all still feel like a shooter. It isn't a terrible, terrible pain to actually aim on someone. This game though...........idk......I picked it up on Friday and was really excited but now I'm just kinda "ehhhh" The fact that I even have to worry about whether the controls are good or bad really says something about the game. I think this game will fall exactly the way the original Killzone did. A select few will swear by it, and everyone else will run away as soon as COD6 comes out this fall.

I just started playing Dead Space on PS3 last night and the graphics look amazing but there is some noticeable lag/slowdown. Has anyone else seen this happen on the PS3 or 360 versions?

It's actually pretty easy. I use an HDMI to VGA cable that I purchased on www.newegg.com for about $20. You just hook the HDMI end up to the PS3 and then the VGA end up to the monitor(or projector) and the PS3 sees the highest resolution that it can do. In my case I hook it up to a HD projector and it looks really nice in 720p. You can also purchase a HDMI to DVI cable that would allow you to reach a higher resolution. Some 24 - 30 inch monitors these days actually support 1080p resolutions. Hope this helps.
