my suggestion to you would be to unplug everythig from the back of the ps3 inculding the power and then plug it back in. i would also make sure that the a/v cables are plugged all the way in on the back od the ps3 and when you plug it into the tv the red and white are your audio and the yellow is your video so make sure the red and white are in all the way.... next i would check the sudio output setting s on the ps3 becasue you said you are getting a video singal and if you r not getting try thr rest again turn it on and hold the power button it usually takes a little more than 10 seconds

you do not need an hd reciever at all to play ps3 that is jsut to watch tv

ehat you will need to get is either an hdmi cable or component cables for your ps3 with out te purchase of one of tese you will not be able to get the ps3 with a high def picture the cables that are supplied are compostie which is only for sd

you have to turn the tv speakers off in the menu of the tv and turn sound to output device

sony does not currently produce a ps3 that is backwards compatible?

i tried that and the same thing has happened the connection shows up but when a test is run it fails and it still works another computer just fine... is it that the wii doesn't support internet sharing which wouldnt make sense but it seems to be that way

hi i was wondering if it is possible to connect the wii using ad-hoc. i have created an ad-hoc network successfully and the wii finds it but when it runs a Internet test it fails.....i am able to hook other computers up to the network though and use the Internet so i don't think its the setting up of the network....just wondering if its supported by wii
