Since I've been out of the gaming scene for a few years, that's exactly what I did. I picked up SSFIV tho, just because I haven't played a good fighting game since the SNES days.
I don't regret my purchase either (I too suffer from buyer's remorse). I don't play too many video games, because I could be spending my money on other things, but playing the 3DS really sealed the deal for me. It's fantastically built, 3D games look great on it, and it has great potential.
It means that you can't put a different region-coded cartridge in an American 3DS (only American cartridges). But, you can still play other region-coded DS games on an American 3DS.
My GS is having a midnight shindig, but they do presells so the poor chaps don't have to stay too late. So, when midnight hits, people walk in, hand the mate a ticket, and pick up their junk. It's going to be cold, so I'll stroll in about quarter till, pay, and stand outside for a bit.
I haven't reserved any games b/c I've got Pokemon White to finish up. But, I wan't a game that can utilize the whole top screen and show off what the 3DS is capable of. With that said, I'm probably gonna snag SFIV.
