Hello there, I recently acquired and installed Dark Souls and have been enjoying it greatly. Up until today I have been making do with the keyboard and mouse setup. It has proved to be less than ideal no matter what I've done to augment it, it never really feels 'natural'. Today I went out and grabbed a brand new, wired Xbox 360 controller and, much to my chagrin, it has failed thus far to work with Dark Souls. A quick Google search reveals that this is not an uncommon issue for the PC port of the game. There is a range of vague material covering successful troubleshooting on a person-to-person basis, but none of it has solved my issues. I'm hoping someone on this board might be able to recommend something I have yet to attempt. Things I have tried so far: * Rebooting * Installing / Uninstalling drivers * Swapping to different USB ports * Disabling / Re-enabling HID-Compliant Game Controller (Only have Xbox 360 Controller) * Unplugging Keyboard/Mouse (before launching game, and after it has loaded) * Tried using x360ce Other info: Controller lights up and is installed correctly, works with other games and is calibrated perfectly. It is an authentic, new Xbox 360 controller. I have no other game controllers, and have never had other game controllers associated with my PC. Controller has been plugged in and tested before booting up game, although I have already been playing the game with the kbd / ms setup for a few days. One major oddity is that, while the controller has seemingly no input to the game what so ever, I moved from the menu into a game and, upon pressing space and tumbling, the controller does provide vibrating feedback from the game! This leads me to believe that fixing this, however improbable, is possible. That about covers it, thanks. TL;DR For the love of God, please help.
