Dragon Ball Z Finished!

The title is informative enough. I've finished the Dragon Ball Z series, all 291 episodes of it. It was awesome watching it because I filled the void that was empty since I missed out on it as a kid. It was an amazing series, although packed with filler. I also watched the fifth Dragon Ball Z movie: Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge. The best part of that movie was the fight between Goku and three of Cooler's men. I didn't find the Goku vs. Cooler fight all that entertaining, but it was pretty funny whenever one of the characters mistook Cooler for Frieza. I've also downloaded a few GBA games on my 3DS that came with the Ambassador status. I've been playing Metroid Fusion the most, and it's great! I've also been playing Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and that game is fantastic as well. I'm really into the Metroid series. I didn't play it much in the past but I have Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2. I just re-downloaded Age of Empires 3 so I'll probably play that soon! That does it for this short blog, have a good day!

The Atomic Age

Hello readers! My girlfriend and I celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on April 6th and we've been really happy lately! Her and I having fun with icing on her birthday :) I've really been busy since football tryouts started two weeks ago. Sunday is the only sport-free day of the week but I don't resent my decision to take football so seriously. Our team has been undefeated for the last two years, and my highschool team won the championship this year as well! My academics aren't too bad. I got my midterms back but it could've been better. I have to admit that I'm extremely lethargic about the entire subject of geography. My grandfather on my father's side also passed away last week, but I've been okay and I'm just happy he's resting in paradise. He was a fine old Frenchy. GAMING! Over the years it seems that me and my Xbox 360 have grown apart. I don't show it nearly as much attention as I used to, and if I do play it it's because my friends want me to join them. I feel the same way with my Wii and PS3. I try and play a variety of systems but with my busy schedule I usually only make time for PC gaming! I beat Borderlands 2 a couple weeks ago using the Vault Hunter pictured above; Zer0. Even though I bought it on its release date I put it off when I got stuck on the Wildlife Preservation level. I'm glad I got to finishing it and True Vault Hunter mode is certainly a challenge. "The Marder III is the name for a series of World War II German tank destroyers built on the chassis of the Panzer 38(t). The German word Marder means "marten" in English. They were in production from 1942 to 1944 and served on all fronts until the end of the war." -Wikipedia The Marder III is the Tier III tank I use in World of Tanks. That is, until I earn enough credits to purchase a German Tier IV tank! I've always thought that German technology and weaponry is interesting and I plan on continuing down the German tank tree. If you haven't heard of or played WoT then I strongly suggest you download it. It is free and genuine, no BS MMO that packs a lot of punch. I've been really into the Dragon Ball Z series once again. I have managed to watch around 50 episodes in a week, and I'm currently in the Buu Saga. It's such an exhilarating show, and I'm so happy to feel such nostalgia when watching it! The balls are inert. It doesnt make a bit of difference guys. I also watched the movie Them! I sincerely enjoy monster movies from the 40's-60's era. They are comedic yet fascinating at the same time due to the realization of how far special effects in movies have come since then. The movie interests me because it contains a lot of scientific fact about the giant mutated ants and the reason behind their sudden growth. It also contains a very interesting message that relates to the current heat between the U.S. and North Korea. "Nobody knows, Robert. When Man entered the atomic age, he opened a door into a new world. What we'll eventually find in that new world, nobody can predict." -Dr. Harold Medford Well that concludes this blog and I hope everybody has a safe and happy weekend!

Sport Teams

Is anybody an avid sport-watcher? What are you favourite clubs and do you play any sports? I'm a Canadian yet I don't actually play hockey, I've been playing football for years now. NHL team: Philadelphia Flyers NBA team: Chicago Bulls MLB team: Toronto Blue Jays I'm currently watching the Jays game and my favourite player Brett Lawrie killed that run after Melky Cabrera hammered it into right-field. So happy this team's become something so great. #LoveThisTeam NFL team: Baltimore Ravens (not a bandwagoner) NASCAR: Denny Hamlin UFC: Georges St. Pierre

Youtuber of the Week! (2)

Hey everybody! Here's my second YotW blog. I haven't been posting regular blogs lately and that is on account of me enjoying GameSpot and then not so much. Either that or laziness. Anyways, I'll start the YotW. This guy is paulsoaresjr. He is a middle-aged gamer with a few kids and a gaming-illiterate wife. The bad news is, more Minecraft. Don't get me wrong, like I said in my previous blog, just because there is a lot of Minecraft doesn't mean it is low quality. He does a special series called Minecraft Dad where he plays on his multiplayer server with his kids, who enjoy Minecraft very much so. I quite like this youtubers MC videos and his other work. I understand that he focuses on spotlighting indie games. He plays Dungeons of Dredmor, Terraria, Minecraft and more. I think this is a great opportunity to show the world all of the little games in life, like indie games! I believe that this man is a great role model for gamers, as he does refrain from vulgarity because of his possible young audience and of course, his children. I hope you can check him out, thanks. Youtuber of the Week!

Alright, new scheme. I am not dropping that new blog format, I will still use it when writing larger blogs. I just wanted a concept to write about other than the skeletons in the closet. So this new idea involves gamers who not only record gaming related videos, but those who have high quality videos. I will probably be linking many popular youtubers but some not so popular. I hope this can give some recognition for those in need of viewers. I am also trying to help those who need some help in choosing new games to play. Youtube videos have made me buy many games and they will continue to have this effect on me. I hope they can have this effect on you too. This youtuber goes by the alias of X. He involves the letter X in many of his Minecraft videos, and Minecraft videos are one of his most popular videos. I don't want to spam Minecraft in these blogs but a lot of people I link will have Minecraft videos. Now, don't get me the wrong way. I mean to say is that I've found a lot of these people's talent whilst searching for Minecraft videos. That doesn't mean it is exclusive to that particular game. No, a lot of these people, including X, have other great series' with awesome commentary and gameplay. Although if you want to find some of X's greatest stuff, search through his older videos. He doesn't post very frequently nowadays, thus turning away many of his viewers, but he does have a lot of old footage that could be "collecting dust" in a virtual sense. Therefore, I advise you check him out and thanks for reading! YOUTUBER = REMIX OF THE NOW =

Friendly Update - Gohansephiroth

It's been a while since I've done this sort of blog, but I am in the mood so here goes. For those of you who have not seen my previous Friendly Update blogs, it is where I pick out one of my GameSpot friends and publicize them for having interesting content, such as blogs, reviews or insights. I like doing this because it gets the word out for good "GameSpotters" out there. I've picked Gohan because he puts much effort into his blogs with fonts, pictures and overall content. He is a big anime fan and I respect that, along with his love for many good titles and series' in gaming. I hope you can drop by his profile if you aren't already tracking him, thanks. New Blog Format!

Hello everybody! How are you? I would like to introduce my new blog format. I decided that it would begin with an introduction like so. Next I will talk about my gaming whereabouts by category. The category will go like this; Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo. I will talk about what I have been doing lately in each of these categories. To cover PC adventures, I will write it under Microsoft. It seems funky but I'm giving it a shot so bare with me. Here goes! In terms of Microsoft related things, I have been playing Xbox 360 and PC games. I've been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops with friends and a little bit of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I don't particularly love Black Ops but it is fun most of the time I play it. I have also been playing Terraria. Having spent 94 hours on this game, I'm imagining things.. scary things. I started an adventure map and a new character on Mediumcore. For those who do not know of Terraria, Mediumcore is a difficulty setting that has your character drop all carried items upon death, opposed to just dropping half of your coins. I don't think I'll be playing Transformers too much but I like to rack up achievements on it. The 1.8 Adventure Update for Minecraft is coming soon but I don't think that will make me play Minecraft again, for a while at least. I stated in my previous blog that I had pre-ordered Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition for the Xbox 360. I can't wait for those, they are going to be great! That pretty much sums up my Microsoft news. On to the next category! I rented Killzone 3 and if you would like to know my opinion on it check out my previous blog. It's great so far and I plan on playing it for the rest of the weekend. I am still taking a huge break from Dead Space 2 half way through the game. I am not stuck at any particular part, it's just something is keeping me from playing it. It's a mystery! Anyways, I've been thinking of renting Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in time for the upcoming Uncharted game. Will it be as satisfying as the first? What is your opinion? I feel that the climbing was pretty cool in the first Uncharted game along with the shooting. I've heard good things about Among Thieves. I haven't played much else on the PS3 except inFamous 2 quite a while back. That was an exciting game with many optional twists. I can't think of any games I'd like to get for my PS3 in the near future, any thoughts? Ah, yes. Nintendo. Where shall I start? Well, I did mention in my previous blog that I had found my Nintendo 64 along with several games for the console. I've been playing most of them and they are very fun. Now that I'm not 6 years old, I can actually understand the plot and goal. I've won one race in Mario Kart 64, beaten one mission in Goldeneye 007 and entered the Great Deku Tree in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. I'll definitely be playing those the next couple of weeks. I just picked up on my save file of YuGiOh: The Sacred Cards. I always get beat by Seto Kaiba. This game is an older one of mine too. Although not quite as old as my N64 and SNES games, it was still a childhood game. I've also been practicing for the Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament being held next week. I love using Kirby and I try not to use Down+B while airborne too much. It's one of the cheaper moves in the game. I have been thinking about playing Donkey Kong: Country Returns again but I'm not too sure. Well I guess that concludes today's blog, I hope you enjoyed reading it and have a nice day!
