I'm not going to bash at EA just for the sake of joining the critic bandwagon, but given EA's ill repute it's no doubt people wouldn't take the omissions and downgrades lightly. The CAS demo ran fine as what I expected, but it's evident EA had to resort to a lot of damage control when faced with the fact that gameplay mechanics crucial to the series, like terrain editing, certain life states and an open world, were cut for no good reason.

I'm no programmer, but I doubt that an open world would be difficult to implement in a casual game. Same goes for terrain editing and all the other cut content in TS4. To me, it's unjustified to pay 60 to 80 dollars for something that should've been feature-complete, and like how Mafia fans criticised 2K Games for chopping the game up in favour of selling the omitted stuff as DLCs, it accounts to why piracy is on the rise, and why some went to TPB in protest.

I don't mind if I wait 2 to 5 minutes for my TS3 game to load, for as long as they delivered what was promised. This one is more of a disservice than a "thank-you" to fans who supported the series.

The game's sniper mechanic was good, but I find the lack of narrative depth and Karl Fairburne's hammy characterization a little bummed out.
