My Top 10 Gamecube Games

Hello, this is hsmdude3 reporting to you at about 3:00 PM!!! I'm here to tell you the greatest Gamecube games that I've played in a long time. Personally, I've had my Gamecube for about 5 years and now I use the Wii to play Gamecube games, but that's another entry...for another time. Here we go! Number 10) Kirby Air Ride This game features many different types of vehicles, levels and power-ups. Some vehicles are slow but jump high, some are fast but can't handle well. There is almost always a price to pay in the vehicular standpoint. In this game, you break records, which sometimes unlocks cool music, new colors, and even new vehicles. Gameplay: 7/10 Controls: 8/10 Number 9) Backyard Football This game not only has backyard characters, but real professionals, depicted as kids! When it comes down to it, this game can appeal to many groups of people, kids, teens, and of course my dad. (Who can never beat me.) The controls are easy to master, and the power plays are great! But, this game can get boring pretty easily. Gameplay: 7.5/10 Controls: 8/10 Number 8 and 7) Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 These games are easy to pick up and quite fun. Super Monkey Ball 2 gets the higher spot because of the fact that the levels are more interesting, and the minigames are more plentiful. The downside is that all the levels in the later worlds are a little tough to figure out, and even then, you might not be able to do what you were thinking about doing. Both Super Monkey Ball games are fun and a little addicting. Gameplay: 7/10 and 8/10 Controls: 8/10 and 8/10 Number 6) Mario Golf Toadstool Tour This game features many characters including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Koopa Troopa, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi, and Bowser. Each character has their own golfing style including range, slice, and other attributes. There are also other modes to play in such as Coin Attack, Ring Attack, Speed Golf, and even Club Slots! The versatility of this game is what makes it great. Gameplay: 8.5/10 Controls: 8/10 Number 5) Over The Hedge This game is based on the DreamWorks Animations movie "Over the Hedge" and did a great job doing it! You can play as RJ, Hammy, Verne, or Stella! On each mission, a team of two goes out on a quest to defeat The Sniffer. I won't reveal too much about the storyline, but I will say this, it has a multiplayer capability and when you play alone, you can switch between the two characters. One more thing, there are fun mini-games that you can play. My personal favorite is the Bumper Carts. Gameplay: 8.5/10 Controls: 8.5/10 Number 4) ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 With a highly addictive game like this, I wonder how anyone could hate it. You create a profile with a certain character and you race until you become a master, and can do every trick in the book. It takes time, but it's very fun and worth buying. You can play with another person in a race of freestyle arena matches. Gameplay: 9/10 Controls: 9/10 Number 3) LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy This game is definitely deserving of this spot on the list. When you play this game, you won't want to stop until you have unlocked or bought everything, like I did. I'm not even a Star Wars fanatic, but I enjoy the movies. This game really brings the stories to a whole new dimension. Gameplay: 9/10 Controls: 9/10 Number 2) Super Smash Bros. Melee One of the greatest, most addicting games that I've ever played! Not only was this game a best seller, but it include a whole new range of characters from the original Smash Bros. game on the Nintendo 64. It has its share of cool and lame characters, but ultimately, every character is awesome in their own way. I never will regret buying this game. Gameplay: 9/10 Controls: 10/10 Number 1) Animal Crossing This is a game that I have continued to play for a long time, I even still play it today. In your town, you have so many different options. You can go fishing, you can catch bugs, go design something at the tailor's, buy stuff, talk to your neighbors, and even hunt for fossils. This is the only game that I could undoubtedly give it a 10 out of 10 for gameplay and controls. Gameplay: 10/10 Controls: 10/10
