Guild Wars has the best pvp combat system ever created while Runes of Magic is another generic-mmopve-ish experience (in my eyes); but if your opinion is that Guild Wars can barely compare to WoW then you should probably stick with RoM
hatefull's forum posts
I usually like grain filter (mass effect, fear2 -> awesome) but in this case, it makes the game look fugly
Personally, I would take Guild wars over it. Guild wars will offer you hundred of hours of gameplay.
Franko_3
thousands in my case :D
She plays with her hair a lot when you're around
whats up with this is it true? :P
[QUOTE="weirjf"][QUOTE="just-jj-jack"]Guild wars, contry to what all the WoW fanboys say, is a great game.

Guild Wars, contrary to what all the Guild Wars fanboys say, is boring and linear.
see how that works? Just because someone hates one game, doesn't mean they are a fanboy of another. Personally I'll take all of the fun games I can get and I will play them all.
I didn't like GW. I played it for 2 weeks and got 2 characters to level 20. I didn't enjoy the limited feel of the PvP, the item creation system was bulky and lame, and the 8-skill limit really left a lot to be desired. PvP should be about picking the best skill for the situation, not hoping you have the best 8 skills against the class you are fighting. Found that to be a very dumbed-down version of PvP. The graphics were... meh...
I did like that you could take NPCs to fill-in for empty slots in your group and they did an OK job at times.
OMG!!! that's what made the game unique!!!!and for pros!!nowhere in this game you have 8 skills
you either have 8x4 skills, or 8x8 skills, called team builds because its a TEAM game
[QUOTE="BenTheJamin"]the only reason its any good is because its free, if you had to pay for it, it would be the worst mmo there is. but all in all its an alright game. more aimed at kids that cant pay for real MMOsJohnny_Rock
That's the truth of it. As a free game it is fun. If I had to pay to play, I wouldn't be.....
that is coming from pve-orientated wow fans with no ideea how to play
its understandable though, you can take a look at Kevin VanOrd blog about Guild Wars, a guy who plays games every day, reviewer at the biggest gaming website, a "pro-gamer" as you might say, and with no ideea how to play the god dam game
now what to aspect from regular guys who just bought guild wars, played 30-40 hours, and decided the game sucks
well sure it sucks for you and im glad. less newbies to play with
i bought counter strike source yesterday and while you can have tons of fun playing it, its nowhere near as good as 1.5
but maybe is just me, no one's playing 1.5 anymore, DAMN ! :(
