I also hate how overwhelming the game feels. At least Morrowind has Sedya Neen (spell?) The trick to making these open world games NOT feel overwhelming, is slowly increasing the size of the world. Final Fantasy 12 did this well, with the world slowly opening up as you progressed in the story. If the game's leveling system didn't scale it would also be a lot better. If that happened, you could start out in a small(ish) district about one tenth the size of the full map, and have to do quests to get to a certain level or point in the story where it opens up.

EDIT: You can fix the vampire cure glitch on the GOTY edition, by changing the language of your system to German (other languages may work too) and completing the quest, you can then change back.

are you sure about this man? cuz if it's true i will defenitly play it the thing i want to know how you've discovered than changing language to german fix this vampire glitch? do you have a link?

I believe that only works in the PAL versions of the game.

I couldn't find the 120gb Slim on Amazon for direct shipping, or at most local retailers, but I found that Sony had a Sony Style store here in Indianapolis, and they had plenty. A list of the Sony Style stores can be viewed at http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&identifier=S_SonyStyle_Store_Listing

for the record i never even dreamed it was going to be amazing. i always had a low opinion for it. it would have been nice to get a killer game but i know better from nintendo. i have a low opinion of every wii game sadly. i have yet to play one and say "this is amazing" unless i pop in an old gc game.

Nintendo didn't develop this, XSEED did. Blame them.

Ummm... What? Nobody really cares about backing up games....

remmbermytitans

You've never seen a thread complaining about a corrupted memory card?

Back the content of your memory cards on your PC. :P

Exactly, back up the SD card data to a PC. The issue of not being able to back up certain game saves to any SD card (games with Friend Codes for online) is a separate issue and has nothing to do with a storage solution...

The common element among games that cannot be copied to the SD card is Nintendo Friend Codes for online. Those games that use alternative online profiles (like EA for Madden) allow saves to SD cards.

I was wondering a quick question about this game. I am thinking about picking it up as I am still playing Madden 07. I was wondering if Superstar mode has been put into 09. I really liked this mode when they put it in the 360 verison. From the screenshots of the game they graphics look leaps and bounds above the old Maddens on the Wii, but I see people giving the graphics a hard time. Compared to old Maddens for the Wii is the best graphics yet? Anyways thanks in advance for the replys.Arthas045

Yes, Superstar Mode is in Madden 09 for Wii. I never played 07 or 08 on the Wii, so I can't speak as to whether the graphics are better; IGN says they are improved, others say not. I'm just happy they added the Wii-exclusive Call your Shot mode to allow for custom receiver routes at the line of scrimmage.

they matter to me. it's called detail. if a developer actually is able to put as much detail into the graphics as possible then it means they worked hard on their art which means they deserve my money.

the wii's graphics process is booty but you can hack out some good graphics like in MP3 but overall nintendo doesnt really try and gives us a bunch of shovelware and recycled games so other devs seem to not care either and just follow suit.

Frankly, NINTENDO really doesn't produce all the crap games and ports from PS2 with no improvements. The bigger issue is the 3rd party developers who have yet to take full advantage of the Wii's capabilities. Granted, the system won't produce PS3/XBox360 graphics, but clearly it has more potential than most games out there. It took years for the PS2 games to really take advantage of its graphics as well...
