I think it was some Atari game - can't remember.

But the first video game I owned myself was Super Mario Bros. on the original NES.

There aren't that many 3D RPGs with party members. Most are 2d/isometric.

I don't think you've missed any big ones.

Witcher 3. I've never played BOTW, but I've seen several hours of gameplay footage, and it's just not my type of game. I do think that it if it wasn't called a Zelda, it would probably get an 8/10 - but reviewers tend to be nostalgic and like to give everything Nintendo extra points.

@qmuddy2: The Sherlock Holmes series is good: my favorite is: Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper. Crimes and Punishment is also excellent.

You may also want to try: The Raven (Legacy of a Master Thief).

Sinking Island.

Overlocked: a History of Violence

I'm assuming you've already played LA Noire and Heavy Rain.

@LarkAnderson:

Much better, thanks. But as others have mentioned, the ratings are still missing. At least the reviews are back.

Same thing happened to me. Hours were spent writing reviews, and now I only have access to two of them. Extremely disappointing. this was by far the most important Gamespot feature for me: I could go and see the ratings of every game I ever played.

PLEASE bring them back.

@beutlich99: I second this. I took great pride in my long list of ratings, and now it's all gone. Very disappointed and annoyed.

And yes, this was the only feature about Gamespot that made it better than IGN.

It was a good game, and I enjoyed playing it. But if I had to make some suggestions for the future:

Make it a little more adult. I feel the conversations are written on the level of a cartoon - all reactions are exaggerated, the evil people speak in an evil way, rude people are over-the-topd rude, etc... Basicually, the characters all seemed like charicatures. The voice acting comes across as poor, but it's probably because of the script.

Also, it may have been better to have a 1st person view. I normally don't mind 3rd person, but moving around areas in the Raven was at many times very frustrating. Sometimes it was very difficult to move from one area to another. Other times, my character would just get stuck, forcing me to restart the game. So, either fix that, or change it to 1st person. Or have both options (See Sherlock Holmes games).

Finally, I'm not sure about the episodic content. I know Walking Dead is very successful, but I think it helps that it is also a TV series. This is not.

But congrats on the game, and I look forward to your next one. I just hope it will be more adult, more realistic, less caricaturish.

I would've agreed with you only two hours ago. Now I'm really pissed off at the game as I'm completely stuck and not able to continue the game due to a bug.

Spoilers: I finished all my quests. but because I had killed Garcia and sided with the inquisition, I can't access the Isle of the Dead. It just doesn't show up as an option on my map.

I wasn't having a great time until that.

This is BS. I'm stuck there too for the same reason. Please help!
