The games industry is losing millions of dollars because they release big games at the same time.

I would have bought Skyrim, MW3, AC, Batman, and maybe Gears 3 but instead I will only be able to play BF3 and I'll probably skip these games. If their release dates were staggered over the year, I would've bought them all. Same thing will happen next year with Max Payne 3 and ME3 coming out at the same time.

Should publishers agree to release their big games at different times of the year?

LA Noire is the only game I've bought this year, and that was disappointing. What's going on? I know we have BF3, MW3, and AC coming up but where are the original action adventure games that made gaming what it is today? IMO, there's way too much fantasy stuff around and not enough games like Unchartered 2, RDR (not Zombie dlc, obv.), GTA, andeven Mass Effect, atleast the Mass Effect plot is placed in a feasible context. 30-50 year old gamersneed more interesting games than magic-this and zombie-that.

Rant concluded. I would like to buy more games than 2-3 a year, itamazes me that the industry seems to only care for big shooters and zombies.

Fair enough, but I'd rather be water boarded than sit there waiting for the next red ring or 'disc is unreadable'.

I just think if they removed the need for a disc drive it would solve all the problems they have with their hardware - overheating, not reading disc, etc.

It would solve the stupid "This disc is unreadable" error, the RROD and RDOD. Their would be so much less that could go wrong with their machine....so why don't they do this???

I played MW2 on Xbox live but it Red Ringed (again) and is out of warranty - I'm now leaning towards getting the PS3 and Black Ops together.

WillBlack Opsbe as good for the PS3/PSN (is there more lag, worse graphics, sound, etc)?

I don't care to play my old Xbox games again, and my buddies have PS3's...

I just need to know that the PS3/PSN experience is as good as the Xbox 360 live experience...
