if tw3 is worth 60 day of launch, and it really is, then no, most other games are not worth not even 45. perhaps rdr2 is the other one worth 60. you all should repudiate paying 70 for a aaa experience. (talking about pc pricings)

rdr2 is great and always has been. and huge and slow paced.

cp has the potential, it will likely be great too, perhaps in 18 months, who nows. It's fine now, but it wont be the same by 2024, as much as how much different it is now in comparison with release. and it's also huge.

Talking about cds that I do have and still use (not literally: i download if i need pure unaltered cd-roms cause some of my originals are completely unusable), I never had any compatibility issues with any game. Under win vista, and 7, and 8, and 10, i've played war 1, war 2, rct1 (a workaround was needed for this one), rct2, heroes 2 and 3, worms armageddon, command and conquer, red alert 1 and 2, quake, diablo 1 and 2, commandos 1 and 2, gta 1 and 2, starcraft bw, age of darkness, and then lots of pre winxp era using dosbox no issues whatsoever (heroes 2 and worms 2 here among others), all pre vista era using scummvm for the games that are there or nothing at all, it depends on the game (full throttle and bs1 and 2). Never had any issues, or workarounds were super easy to execute.

Today GoG is great, but most of good old games, like heroes 3 or rollercoaster tycoon, do have fan projects that are a lot better than playing straightforward from the bought product.

40 series might be different. Nvidia paid in advance a chip contract to be first (lets hope) and have plenty of 40 series supply when they come out. we will see how they deal with scalpers and miners (if it's possible to do so), but if everything goes fine this summer.

It will last even longer, and I'm still waiting.

And this is why most open world games suck and this is why Far cry 2 is still best open world game ever made

In most of open world games, be it witcher 3, RDR2, GTA5, Cyperbunk etc. you are literally doing nothing 99% of time.

That is not true. If you feel you are doing nothing then it's a feel, and those types of games might not be fine for you, or perhaps were actually bad games. But TW3? what the hell?, there is even more quality vs density than in any of those new TR games for instance.
