Believe it or not, I bought a new hdtv lcd to replace my old 22" tube tv and factor the ps3's 1080p into it. Yeah, I pay like $120 extra cause of the 1080p but my hdtv lcd is future proof now. Everyone is using it, so I don't get a lot of time with my ps3. I am looking to get a bigger hdtv lcd 720p for the living room. Then I can take the first one to my room and hook it up to the ps3.
You should have picked: Civilization IV - yes, you actually learn a bit of history while gaming. Sins of a Solar Empire - if you like master of orion, or strategy, this is it. Crysis or UT3 - There is a lot of mods and user generated maps for free. Orange Box - comes with Portal for puzzle lovers and TF2 for FPS lovers CS:Source - still a good FPS. COD4 - for more FPS loving. Supreme Commandeer - more strategy gaming.
