No I would not, they should remake it for Wii, using classic controls and expand upon it maybe add in a new expansion or something. But even if it were just a straight remake with updated graphics and the old control scheme I would buy it. But not for DS

As a long time user of Gamespot.com, I have always enjoyed this site. But a few things have been bothering me as of late.

  • The Review process
  • The News process
  • The Features process

Review Process: Touching on my first point first, the review process has slowed way down. I don't know if you guys are taking on way too many games at once or what the problem is, because as of late you guys are pumping out reviews sometimes months after release dates. I don't know about the rest of the users, but I value your editors opinions and use them as a tool when I am picking what I want to spend my money on game-wise. Also I have been pushing for this for many months now and have a few people backing my logic, we need a second opinion from another of your editors on some games to give some support (or disproval) to the main editors review. I know that another game site (1up) has been having problems with their review process because some editors are just giving flat out stupid opinions that no one believes are honest. If you guys are having a problem with too many games to review, here's a quick idea: Don't review games that the mass public aren't interested in. Cell phone games are a great example of this, or perhaps even kids game (E-10.) For example just last week, there were 14 games you decided were notable enough to put under your new releases tab, 2 of them were reviewed. I realize it is hard to review a MMORPG within the week it comes out because I play these too and know how deep and different the experience changes from night to night. But, Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin, not reviewed, Endless Ocean, not reviewed. This might get redundant with all the examples I could give. Maybe I missed something and your review team is on strike with the writers guild? But honestly you guys could step it up a lot.

News Process: Once again guys lacking in this process. Here I am on my computer on a non-holiday Monday, and what do I see on your news tab? News from Friday. This would be different if I was getting on my computer at say 8 in the morning, but it is now 3:10p.m. Mountain time, making it either 2:10p.m. assuming you are located in California, or 5:10p.m. assuming you are in New York area. I'm not telling you guys to be like Fox news and just make up reports to fill, but if there is news, report it! I'm sure after a big weekend there has to have been something going on in the gaming industry.

Features Process: Judging by the game guides you guys put out within the week of the games coming out, I think it is safe to assume you have played them through and are ready to review them. I realize reviews take time to type up, but so do game guides. Considering there are many sites for game guides, and the guides you can buy at release from BradyGames or whatever, maybe you guys should do what you do best and review them and report news. Don't wrap yourselves up into thinking game guides made this site, because your honest and valued opinions are what I like this site for. So please listen to my opinion as we do yours, and fix the processes you guys once excelled at, and maybe cut out the stuff you guys aren't known for or wanted to do necessarily.

Thank you in advance for at least hearing me out,

A very dedicated fan of your site (Bill)

I think there should be a second opinion on all the reviews. The main reviewer should be a "seasoned vetran" in the genre or series, and the second opinion should be a person new to the series or genre, that way you get unbiased reviews. Just an idea
