LONG VERSION (short version = scroll down) I used to be a true FPS-junkie who also enjoyed the occasional platformer and racing game. All i wanted was mindless shooting and intense action. I had a turning point about a year back though when one of my brothers, after a lot of convincing, made me try out Skyrim. A new world opened up for me! Never before have I gone THAT hooked to a game. I loved everything about it, the leveling up, looting, exploratÃon, the combat. I spent a lot of time on that game, immediately after my first playthrough as a melee tank I started a new game as a mage and did it all over again, and the second run was just as much fun, since the gameplay was now completely different. I thought to myself, "maybe I could enjoy RPG after all?" Some time later that same brother told me about Dark Souls, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Man, am I happy I did! One of the best games I've tried. I've done multiple playthroughs with several different characters and I never seem to get tired of it. So, I've basically realized this is the kind of games I want from now on. What I need is suggestions, what games should I get (strictly xbox 360), what games are good? I've tried the Dragon Age II demo, but that just seemed a bit to linear and generic. It was all linear combat > forced dialogue > linear combat > forced dialouge > cutscene > dialogue > repetetive A-button-mashing. I really liked the combat sequences of Dark Souls, it was hard to learn and master yet very rewarding in the end. I also want to be able to build my character just the way I like it and I'd love it if multiple playthroughs were worth the effort. I don't want to do the exact same thing over and over. It's also important that it's an open world where I choose where to go. Like in Skyrim, where I would spend hours just wandering the landscape and exploring the environment, animals and so on. SHORT VERSION: I want suggestions on games for Xbox 360 resembling Dark Souls and Skyrim. Preferably open world, lots of exploration, different characters, weapons and armors to choose from, advanced character building and combat. Thanks for your time!
