I love dogs, but I hate the Fallout 4 dog.

He gets in the way... constantly

He kind of kills off any possibility of a stealth game, by running at enemies when sneaking

He even attacked a protectron that I had given the subway token to which made the protectron attack me. If the dog had just sat down the protectron would have just killed all the raiders and left me alone.

If he could highlight things like Rex in New Vegas ... maybe there would be a reason to keep him around... but he can't.

So... How do I kill the damn dog?

I guess this is a spoiler if you haven't played Human Revolution but I would assume you had if you are looking at this post.

I could be wrong here as it was a while since I played it but didn't Adam Jensen die in every possible outcome of Human Revolution?

Hopefully they will not make the same error in this game as it does limit expansions.

Actually I'd kind of just like to wander around the cities and take random jobs.

Splintercell & Assassin's creed both have this silly checkpoint system that doesn't always seem to work.

So we have a consensus... this game pretty much sucks.
It's UBIsoft... more and more I have come to expect UBIsoft's PC versions to kinda suck. This game however is a new low. It's like they didn't even try.

What really upset me however was the gamespot provided meta critic scores which were high. Upon further examination I realized that even the reviews that panned (did not like) the game had high scores above 80% with the exception of one. Similarrly there seemed to be a lot of reviews with strangly high scores for a game that the coresponding review seemed to find a fair amount of fault with the game.

I am on PC it's buggy as hell. There are indicated actions that the character just won't do and more than half of the time you don't feel you are in complete control of the character. The port to PC seems more like an afterthought on the part of the developer and the result is a complete piece of trash.

I just don't like the fact that you cant sell your sword before you buy a new one

Also the pistol was a waste of money.

If you like slightly interactive movies then I guess it would be great.

I am still in Boston but bored as hell because it seems to be 15 min of cinematics for every 2 minutes of half assed gameplay so far.  A lot of the gameplay seems to be go here and do this, go here and do that. Once in a while you have the freedom to explore the city but there really isn't much to see or do. 2 side quests and a couple chests here and there. They made lockpicking a pain in the a$$ as well.

I really don't understand what they were thinking to be honest. Even when your character has a conversation you have no input into it... it just plays out. You can skip it but I am wondering if it's information I need to know for later. The main character kinda behaves like a pompous douchebag when talking to NPCs as well so the solutions to problems are always not the way I would have handled it.

I have a dell XPS 1710 and it's great but I find that most of the games I like are not supported on laptops. It's a great idea but both spinter cell 4 and Rainbow 6 Vegas (both UBI Soft) are not supported on laptops as are many others. What makes me laugh is that these machines are marketed as gaming laptops.
