I listen to sports talk radio and sometimes the local cIassic rock station. None of the stations that play new music play anything I would listen to (I mostly like power metal, prog metal, operatic metal, folk metal, and all the various cIassic rock genres).

[QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"][QUOTE="famicommander"]Anyone who advocates protectionism doesn't understand the broken window fallacy. Read "Economics in One Lesson" by Henry Hazlitt.

The broken window fallacy has nothing to do with protectionist policy.

It has everything to do with it. It has to do with what is seen and what is unseen. With protectionist policy people see that it stimulates domestic industry, as the broken window stimulates the window salesman. What is unseen is the damage done to the person whose window was broken, as he now must spend money that would otherwise be directed at some other productive use on the window. In the same way, people who are forced to pay higher prices for domestic products instead of cheaper foreign ones are harmed. The money they would have spent on some other productive use is redirected by protectionism to its less urgent use. Protectionism is one of the most simple and clear cut examples of the broken window fallacy.

I only buy the DRM free bundles but yeah, I like Humble Bundle for sure. They're one of the primary sources of games on Linux.

Not conflicted at all. I don't see any games worth buying them for, and the prices are way too high either way. Plus I've already decided never to support Sony or Microsoft again because of their policies (paid to play online, DLC whoring, etc). I bought my Vita used specifically to avoid giving Sony money.

All government action in the economy is inherently destructive and inefficient because government doesn't respond to a pricing system or profit/loss mechanism.

I'm surprised no one mentioned NIHON FALCOM, since they were one of the most influental Japanese RPG makers in history.

Most every other Japanese programmers were influenced by their works, at least a little, in one way or another.

Falcom's games are only sporadically released in the West. I think that has a lot to do with it.
