Hey, I posted interest in creating a Modern Warfare league a while back, but I finally pushed myself to make a more organized site and registration form.

The site can be found here, I just made it (eww, freewebs I know, but it functions, can't complain)

http://mlmw.webs.com/

I'm so tired of playing MW2 solo and just trying to keep a high KDR, and I want something more structured (and that counts) that just making a clan with friends and playing randoms.

Additionally, do you guys know what the best way to reach MW2 users is? I was thinking of sending out cold msgs on psn, saying pass it on.

I mean those dang "FREE PSN dollars!" chain letters get around!

Besides asking players online directly in game, does anyone know where the MWL can get players?

If you guys can figure this whole thing out then im down with this. As long as we get to pick our team, i dont wanna get stuck with some noobsunknown_hero8

If you are looking to apply as one of the team leaders you'll get to participate in the draft. So you can see your teammates K : D and make a choice based on that, or you can pick your friends if the join the draft.

Im thinking user created teams at this point is easier. But what we could do is compile a list of players and list their K : D and other stats, and then have a draft.

The whole point of having a 7-8 member team for a 5 on 5 games it to prevent games from being forfeited. Also a mutual agreement can happen between leaders to knock it down to 4 on 4.

Once I get one of the leagues going (so 12 teams) we'll start. (most likely in New Year)

A minor league will be tacked on later.

Also seasons are currently set at 3 months, but thats debatable. I figure if its 3 months, one team can join in and be out for the next season. The commitment isn't too long.

I agree that it is a little complex. But I would act as the co-ordinator.

Hello again Gamespot PS3 Forum! I would like to once again bring forth my idea of having a PS3 Modern Warfare 2 League.

NOTE: We are currently looking for players!

Please apply by sending an email to ModernWarfareLeague@hotmail.com, Subject "Player Registration". Include your PSN ID and current rank and K : D in Modern Warfare 2.

NOTE: We are also looking for team leaders.

Apply by sending an email to ModernWarfareLeague@hotmail.com Subject "Team Registration" Include, PSN ID, Team Name, Location. Also if you wish to register your self as a player on your team send all pertinent player information.

Here are my current thoughts:

- Seasons will be ~ 3 months (Including Play-offs)

- A trade deadline will be at 6 weeks into the 9 week regular season.

- Each league has 2 conferences, ea. conference comprised of 6 teams

- 4 teams from each conference go on to the playoffs

- Each team is comprised of 6-8 players.

- A game is a 5 on 5 affair.

- Games are comprised of 3 rounds. A point is rewarded for each round and an additonal point is awarded for the overall win.

- A season will be approx. 30 games.

- Anyone interested?

Send any questions to ModernWarfareLeague@hotmail.com

Season begins in January. Draft will happen as soon as all players are found. (approx. 84 players)

A website answering basic questions will be up soon.

Like I mentioned up top, MLG is more tournament focused. This is more season focused.

MLG is in it for money, this is just A league, like people play baseball in a league (house league) but OMG that's copying MLB isn't it?

MLG does xbox360, I want to make a PS3 one.
