While there were a lot of offensive comments aimed at the reviewer of GTA V, a lot of other comments were just criticisms of the review. The feedbackula guy lambasted the second group as much as the first, which I think is childish in itself. Sure, the reviewers are entitled to write whatever they like. But readers are equally entitled to disagree, and I think censoring that would be a mistake.
I agree, I think it's a good thing that the government is trying to help the local game industry.
$200,000 would be a great help to a small team developing say an iPhone game or a Facebook game.
But $200,000 for a next-gen game that is going to be in development for the next 18+ months? And the team developing said game is already struggling this early on? It's like pouring a glass of water on a huge dying tree.
I hope I'm wrong because I really liked L.A. Noire, but my bet is we won't be seeing this game for a loooong time. If ever.
What the hell is $200,000 going to do. That pays the salaries of 2 or 3 programmers for ONE year. Possibly 4 programmers if they're being really stingy (which wouldn't surprise me knowing how poor wages are in the game industry).
argh... RE was good until the first god awful movie came out. Then for some reason Capcom decided to abandon what they were doing and copy the movie instead, by thinking it was cool to have stupid melee action sequences. I just wish they'd remove the stupid melee attacks. At most you should be able to push zombies away. How can an uppercut do more damage than a freakin bullet to the head!? It's just ridiculous.
