I know this topic has been raised before, but many people thought it was a problem consigned to only a select batch of ps3s with a certain serial number on it. But guess what, I bought mine just a month ago and I have it! Its not even that big, I cant take the system back because they wont hear it over the ambient noise of the shop. Its one of those noises that once your hear it once you will be looking out for it in the future and hence annoys you even more. It s a very high pitched noise (like your ears are ringing except its the ps3!) that comes from it internally. Only really audible at certain angles and elevations - weird! Anyone else have this?

I have just found a recent article about PCs vs consoles on the UK BBC website. Very interesting how current gen consoles are already looking prehistoric compared to the latest PCs. Ive been scanning forums and many people think both the 360 and ps3 are probably capable of crysis graphics before the next gen comes in, however this may be in 3 or 4 years time (maybe 5 or 6) by which time crysis 3 will probably be out. But are current computers really 3 times faster than consoles as this stage in time? Surely the processing power of ps3 is beyond all but the most extreme cpus available by intel and amd. And as the ps3 has a reputed graphics capacity equal totwo 7800 gtx cards in sli, are current graphics solutions in pcs so much more powerful? I heard someone say somewhere that two 7800gtx in sli could handle crysis at full settings. Just thought I would let anyone who is interested know anyway.

Ok this isnt exactly a facebook appreciation group, more a Jeff Gerstmann appreciation group (great reviewer on gamespot) however I am thinking of extending the kudos to aex navarro and kevin van ord, two great reviewers. altho in my personal opinion Jeff is my favourite. Come join and invite your friends. Let the world know about these great gaming gurus! P.S this is not an advertisment because I gain nothing from it and simply wish to appreciate the revieing talents of Jeff Gerstmann and other staff.

I have NAT 2 settings as well. I did have NAT3 before, the way to change to NAT 2 (well the easiest way, but it is less secure) is to put your PS3 in teh DMZ of your router by going into you router settings and then DMZ and making the address the same as the one you find when doing the network diagnistic on your ps3. However for me this has made ZERO difference to the problem

I want this to be a quick poll of how many people are getting this message frequently (I would set up an actual poll but Im not sure how - any tips?) Anyway if you have this screen a lot and you feeel like busting your foot through your ps3's disk drive you are so annoyed (as COD4 multiplayer is where its best, lets be honest) come speak here. At the moment I cant even get past the first menu! I cant even hit 'find a game' and its driving me mad. Apparantly, for anyone who wishes to know, it seems its not a game disk problem but ther servers are just being overwhelmed. So stay tuned for a patch...

As a side note, wasnt this problem meant to be fixed after the xbox 360 beta?! I know, the ps3 is a different machine but comeone activision/infinity ward! Dont tell me you didnt expect this game to be the fastest selling this year...
