Yes, complain that there actually taking there time to play an mmo and an open world rpg, if they were out already youd be complaing they were rushed and didnt care about teh pc.

I just assumed that reviewers get the games first to have reviews of the game to co-inside with their release.

I've been thinking about buying the complete pack on steam for $50, the reason why I haven't baught any of the civ games is because I thought I didn't like turn-based RPGs. However, after I played through all the total war games, I really enjoyed the turn-based aspect them...If I liked that, should I buy CIV 4? And should I buy the complete pack or just the original? Thanks.

and as to "basic" combat mechanics.... what the hell are they comparing that too? and this guys whining on about the guns, it's not about the guns in about 90% of the game, it's all about getting into a punch up!

yeah and is it me or are all the PC Review on this site always really late in the day? and also i notice there isn't really that much time as far as PC games are concerned...

Let's face the harsh reality of it all if Zeno Clash was made by Eidos or a phat big company that can choose whether or not Gamespot gets access to their stuff and sponsorship and even determine if a member of staff gets fired over a poor review i think it would of got rated slightly higher don't you??

I thought Spore was a failure (in that it failed to live up to the promises given) as well. Another great disappointment to me was Deus Ex 2. After the first game, I really expected the sequel to be even better, but instead it, well, wasn't. It wasn't a bad game, but with the Deus Ex name on it, it didn't have to be just "not bad", it should have been frakkin' amazing. Instead, it was too short, with small, claustrophopic levels (to accomodate the Xbox at the time), decent story but lousy inventory and weapon choices... just not what it should have been. Given the expectations, I'd call it an epic fail.

On Fallout 3, I can't call that a failure. No, it's not the same as Fallout 1 and 2, but that was ok in my book. Yes, it had some similarities to Oblivion, easily my least favorite game in the Elder Scrolls series, but I also thought they fixed a lot of the complaints about Oblivion in this game. Overall, I'd call in the best game of last year, hands down. I understand why some people might disagree, but I just don't see it. My only big complaints are that some of the quests were a bit anticlimactic, and the end of the main quest just flat out ended the game. I'd have liked to be able to explore more after that. At least they are going to be changing that with some of the upcoming DLC.

I'm not exactly a fan of Fallout 3, which i think is inferior to Fallout 1 and 2 (in terms of immersion and story-telling).

But that's only my opinion. Everyone has their own, it cannot be quantified.

In terms of sales, Fallout 3 is a major success.

In terms of official critical review, it is also a huge success. So to list Fallout 3 as an epic fail is, tbh, ridiculous and narrow-minded :)

Because that's, knowingly or not, saying your opinion is superior to everyone else, which it is not.

Just because Fallout 3 got massive sales and massive reviews doesn't make it good, think of how many Spice Girls albums got sold, doesnt mean it's great, and just beacuse it's a majority doesn't mean the majority is correct, i'm sure the population of Nazi Germany thouht they were onto a great thing being in the majorityn all.

Fallout 3 was marketed everywhere, literally everywhere, bus stops, televison, magazines EVERYWHERE, it was in my face for about 6 months pre-release. Bethsda didnt even make the first two, they just took the popularity of the prior two games, completely re-vamped it into a psuedo Oblivion game. IT's not good enough.

It's an Oblivion patch/mod/expansion. They may aswell of good it OBLIVIONZ GONE SCI FI!!111 Games companies are too damn lazy these days
