just make sure your ps3 is clean, no dust accumulation or anything.

when i first bought my ps3 i was soo overreacting about its noise , but turned out to be the normal faint one everyone has , keep it well ventilaated more han 10 cm away from any wall and if u still think there is a problem let sony check it out.

i dont think switching hard disk affects the warranty.

first turn offthe system, thentouch the front power button for more than 5 seconds until the system beebs twice ,this will reset ur video back to standard hope this helps.
