Oh WiiU price drop,

Oh WiiU price drop,

I'm worried about U.

Every time I think of U,

U scurry away.

It's alright...I won't hurt U.

Seriously though, I think they need to drop the price during the holiday season. Regardless of the blockbuster titles coming out during the holidays, Nintendo needs to create an avalanche of momentum before the coming of their competion's systems. There isn't a single solution that will solve the WiiU's current problems. They need to hit it in every single possible way: better market strategy, AAA blockbusters games, and a price drop. With these three things, I believe they can truly turn around a lot of the WiiU's problems. For this holiday season, they need to be more aggressive while they have the chance. Otherwise, they will continue to struggle. They might eventually make ground later down road like the PS3 has, but they can get a huge jump on things this year and rectify some of the damage that has been done from last year up to this point.

In no particular order:

1. Black Knight(Fire Emblem)

2. Black Shadow(F-Zero)

3. Mewtwo's return

4. Rival Pokemon Trainer

5. Crono(Chrono Trigger)

6. Dark Samus(Metroid Prime)

And I just now noticed that most of the ones I listed are villains. :P

Now you gave me a good (Albeit not going to happen) idea for a character in Smash. Jack Frost (Your Avatar) He'd be a perfect counter to the Ice Climbers

Never thought about that, but I suppose it might not be impossible if they put Persona 5 on the WiiU along with the PS3 and 360. It would be a dream to have him and Black Frost. But that's probably just the Persona fan within me speaking.

It's probably a good thing that Project Cafe isn't a cool name. When Nintendo finally released the title of the Wii, a lot of people had wanted it to remain the Revolution. A less than stellar codename for this one will help with the transition of whatever the title will finally be in the end.

goblaa

Can you imagine the train wreck disaster if they had kept the name revolution?

Yeah, I was never crazy about the Revolution as a final title, but it seemed like a lot of people had their hearts set upon it. As long as this is a well made console with good games, I'm a happy gamer.

Whatever they call it, I highly doubt that they will drop the word "Wii" from the title. Nintendo has struck far too much gold with the Wii brand for them to think that it would be a good idea to change it completely to something else. It will most likely be "Wii (Extra title)", which will allow them to further captialize on the Wii name.

And a lot of these rumors could simply be old concepts that are just starting to get leaked. For all we know, they could be old concepts that were dropped over a year ago. Regardless of the veracity of these rumors, I think Nintendo's E3 should be interesting, if only to see the hype of the announcement of a new console, or to see everyone react immaturely and say that the company "dropped the ball" and they have "lost faith in Nintendo."

This is astounding. I would love to see a game that would look like this, but of course, I know that isn't going happen.

Though, I only have one complaint about the picture. Aside from Veran and Midna, the majority of the women's faces don't look feminine enough. Oh well. This is still an amazing picture.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/99388-Atlus-Starting-Work-on-Persona-5

There was this report in March 2010 that work had begun on Persona 5. Though, I'm starting to believe their priorties changed and they switched focus to Catherine around that time. After Catherine finished, then they decided to work full time on P5.

I agree. Especially about Final Fantasy Versus XIII. That game was first announced in May 06 I believe, and unlikely to come out next year. That would be 2012 at the earliest, which means at least six years between the game was announced and made. It is completely unnecessary to announce something so eariler. I would prefer games to not be announced or shown until they are coming within a year or year and half of the announcement. Of course, unseen developments arrive, hampering the developers, which is understandable; however, when they clearly know that the game is several years off, then they should just keep it to themselves until the appropriate time.
