Games I've Finished

Beaten games in Order of my life.

Rank Game Release Date GameSpot Score Drwhoiscool's Score
1

Super Mario Bros.

First game I ever beat, because you can't beat Atari Games.

--
2

Mega Man 2

This was the easiest of the Mega Man series. I beat it with a broken arm. - Use the bubble gun.

-- --
3

Mega Man 4

This was the 2nd easiest of the Mega Man series. Sliding & charging! Wow! ( never finished part 3 cause I suck)

-- --
4

Double Dragon II: The Revenge

Best Co-Op game of the NES. Better then Contra. Thats right. FÛÇk you.

-- --
5

Super Mario Bros. 3

The 2nd easiest of the series to finish. The most popular Mario Bros. series for the NES after system purchace. All the rich kids had it. I had to play it @ their awesome parent's mansions.

--
6

Cyber Stadium Series: Base Wars

The best baseball game of all time ( even then MLB13 for the Vita ) Playing every single friend on it, winning & loosing 10 billion times entitles me to say I beat it.

-- --
7

Monopoly

The NES Version was the best of all of them including the crap today. You could configure every single option. Beat it against Max computers with all ( cheat ) options turned off except $400 for landing on " Go " ( no free parking) The board game is still the BEST Multi-Player version.

--
8

Super Mario Bros. 2

A lot of people didn't like this game. I did. Even the ending. First game to screw you over by saying everything was a dream & all for nothing leaving you with emptiness & tears. Luigi was the strongest player.

--
9

Golden Axe II

This was the first Golden Axe game I played on the Consoles. I think I'm bias to it being the best because it was the first one I got to play with a controller.

--
10

Streets of Rage (1991)

This was the game that sold the Genesis. Plugging the headphone jack into the AUX of our 8 Track player & cranking it up got me in trouble many times. I used masking tape instead of electrical tape on the wiring because I was as bad ass as the game.

--
11

Sonic the Hedgehog

The Original @ 3rd easiest of the series to finish. Thanks to Super Blast Processing, you could move around & jump all @ the same time. I did not get this game with the system.

--
12

Sonic the Hedgehog 3

I could never beat part 2 as it was the hardest of the origional series ( stupid final boss... ) until I got it for free with the playstation + & was able to use save states. This one, Part 3 however, was the 2nd easiest of the entire series. Playing with a friend for Racing both 2D & " 3D " were much better then part 2.

--
13

DOOM (1993)

Only rich people had Computers. When My grandfather died, our parents finally got one. Looking back, it was a pretty bad ass one for back in the day, even though a smart phone can massively trump it. This was the First game I purchased for the PC, & it was the shareware version that had only episode 1. It took 3 days before I could play it because I had to learn DOS. Kids now a days have it so easy. Try figuring stuff out before the internet. MEMmaker, DMAs, IRQs, Making Different Autoexec.bat files so you can play games on one & another for when your dad load up windows & not think your breaking it. Every day I played this game, finished first episode on the hardest difficulty setting (not nightmare) with only a handgun & chain saw. no codes. After this game, it became apparent that no console could ever beat a PC for gaming & I slowly went away from Consoles. I've been Primarily a PC gamer ever since. This was the most GROUND BREAKING FPS ever made.

--
14

Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty

Ground Breaking Awesomenss. I still have it & play it through DOS Box. This was the First Stratigic video game ever. For its time there was NOTHING like it. There were no product Keys back then, you had to open your manual to a certain page & get the answer to continue. For those who feel nostalgic, you can download this game from a community site & play it on a 64 bit windows system. I tried it, only bug is you can't play it in full screen. but they added a mouse drag system & Multiplayer. The only 2 things missing for giving it a 10/10.

-- --
15

Streets of Rage 2

A Good Followup sequel with slight changes, The most difficult of the series.

--
16

Taz-Mania

-Genesis- I really liked this game. I was kinda young when I first played it. Its only difficult for people who can't take their time. Its hard to go slow when you can be a tornado, or what ever its called.

-- --
17

Mortal Kombat

-Genesis- BABACABB DULLARD : Putting in the time of its realease, best game ever...

-- --
18

Sonic CD

I was late buying a SEGA CD because of how Crazy expensive it was. This was the Easiest of the Sonic Games & easily had the best sound track. You could finish the entire thing in just a few hours. I could never get the last 2 secret emeralds though...

--
19

Sewer Shark

This was the game that came with the Sega CD. Took a few late nights & sleep overs, but finally got. For its time, it was a Major Awesome Release.

-- --
20

Streets of Rage 3

New Characters, better moves, background music as good as the first one. a true improvement to part 2. Part 1 still being the best because of when it came out.

-- --
21

King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder

First RPG I ever played (except zelda for nes) . Great Fun. Took over a year to finish it. Its for kids & not for adults. All the little stories you were told or read to as a kid are slightly changed. My friends made fun of me for playing it, but I think they were just jealous because I was the only one who had a CD player in my computer. I remember having to Graft Out the desert on paper so I could figure out how to get to the tomb. A truly Open World environment that exploration was absolutely mandatory.

-- --
22

Virtua Racing

The game that everyone wanted a Sega 32X for. unfortunately it was only 1 of 3 good games for the system & not worth $199 for. I only rented the system from a movie rental shop. Never actually owned one. Would anyone reading this actually understand that concept? pfff. What am I saying. No one is reading this, I'm just bored & reminiscing for my GameSpot account.

-- --
23

Descent (1995)

This was the first game I had to upgrade our computer for so I could have enough RAM to have sound effects play on my Yamaha Sound Blaster sound card. Totally worth it. Many hours were taken playing this & one of the first MODEM to MODEM multiplayer games I ever played. It took a while to master the keyboard, but remains to 10 games ever on a PC in my opinion.

-- --
24

Commander Keen: Goodbye, Galaxy!

A good Platformer for back in the day. The only game I had to worry about my sister messing up my save games for. It taught me about the importance of backing up your information. Not the most Epic of games made by ID Software, but pretty good for the little ones.

-- --
25

Heretic

This in my opinion was One of the best 3 games ID Software ever made in the 90s. It was Far more difficult then Doom, but had Crossbows & magic. The most difficult part of this was having to explore every single part of every level in order to proceed, turning off some people. Playing Co-Op with a friend over a MODEM, changed this into an absolute must. I purchased the " shareware " version only giving me access to the first episode. I never actually finished the entire game as it wasn't available in stores & could only be purchased with a credit card over a long distance international phone call. Not going to happen when your 15.

-- --
26

Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out!

This was the only Leisure Suit Larry game I ever played and/or completed. Its a type of game only good if your in your young teens & have never been laid before. Its full of Sex Humour that escapes you as you grow up. This game is long gone from my collection now as I never made backups of the Floppy Disks in time before I got a CD burner for Hundreds & Hundreds of dollars...

-- --
27

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans

This was another great stratigic game that kicked but. Ground breaking features such as Holding Shift & being able to select up to 4 Characters @ once. Multiplayer turned it into a Must Have.

-- --
28

DOOM II

A follow up of the origional Doom. I was never a big fan of this one, The only major change they had was adding 1 new weapon, the double shotgun. It was a decent game but the original Doom was much more ground breaking.

--
29

Quake

This was probably the 2nd most ground breaking game ID Software ever made. You couldn't play it properly unless you had a " Pentium " processor. I had to shrink the screen as small As I could & lean my face right up to the monitor. Ever heard of " Q-Crack " ? Its an absolute fact that aside from naked ladies, " Q-Crack " made the internet popular ( says me ). Best $12.00 investment ever for a game.... back then it was almost $80 a month just for the Internet. School was the place were we got everything " Interesting " from.

--
30

Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness

Many Many hours were spent on this game Modem Multiplayer. I only beat it once with each faction, as I needed a dynamic enemy, my friend Aaron, who beat me all the time...

--
31

Command & Conquer: Red Alert

This was my first game into the Command & Conquer Series. It was awesome looking, Full motion video cut scenes, Mouse drag system, Great BGM, and it was one of the first games that could have been considered " dark ". I felt after this game, the Command & conquer series started to go down hill with the exception of Tiberian & Generals. Playing as soviets to take over the world & having this mysterious Kane as a puppet master in the background was pretty awesome. This was one of the Last of the Great DOS Games, as things slowly started to conform to Windows. ( this game ran in both )

--
32

Star Wars: TIE Fighter

As the X-wing series games, this was the top of them. Great story line. huge database of information. I played the crap out of " X-Wing " but because of a defect or a bug of some sort, I was never able to complete it. This game, I did complete, more then once. Until FreeSpace came out, was my favorite space-Sim. Back in the day there weren't many games you could play the bad guy as, maybe that is why this stuck out so much, shooting down rebels & protecting Vader as you assault sympathizers, their frigates & capitol ships.

-- --
33

Supreme Warrior

-Sega CD- It was SO AMAZING for back in the day. I got an emulator for my PC & put the disc in for old times sake. So hard to play, I have no idea how I beat it. Oh yea, over & over & about 3 years. I have bad reflexes...

-- --
34

Lunar: The Silver Star

Sega CD- Great game. As I was getting into my mid teens, this was one of the last games that was targeted for kids that I finished. They could have made it dark, but they didn't they threw in sissy songs & what not. It was still a good game & as the story progressed, Your character got really awesome.

--
35

Descent: FreeSpace - The Great War

For Years & Years this game held the top spot for space combat. The story line was the absolute best making the player really want to keep playing. The Ending was perfect. FreeSpace 2 was graphically more superior, but Part 1 was just fabulous. This is one of the top 10 games of all time for me. Every key on your keyboard did something in a battle on top of the joystick or game pad you used. That turned a lot of people off of it who just couldn't handle it.

--
36

Starcraft

The amount of gaming content along an AMAZING story line ( after you read the first 3 pages of the instruction manual where it sets the setting & slight background) makes it another Top 10 for me. Although Diablo came out first, this was my 2nd blizzard game I ever bought ( blackthrorne being first, but I never beat it) I beat this game more then once & played countless hours @ friends Houses in LAN Parties / MODEM Team Games against the computer.

--
37

Diablo

This was a ground breaking RPG of its type. Random Dungeons that made up their own layout, Random " Loot ", Stable multiplayer, A static & pleasing progressive difficulty level that aloud you to feel powerfull as you kept advancing in the game. As amazing as Diablo II was, this will remain the best of the Diablo series for me as it was the First & everything after it was just copies. Again, this was one of those " Dark " games that stood out. The only thing missing from it was there wasn't a run button, so you did a lot of walking. Having only 1 save spot made your clicking decisions more important. Top 10 games ever made. Diablo III is the worst of the series.

--
38

Quake II

Quake II was a decent equal. Many levels, having a story line to it, It was a game that was more interesting playing Multiplayer then Single player. Nothing really flashing to say it was " Awesome " though.

--
39

Star Wars Rebellion

Wow, Just Wow. Everything awesome to describe how amazing anything could be would be this game. So many people didn't like it because it wasn't an action game. It was a strategic game that you conquered the galaxy in. Every single fact about Star Wars was in it, everything IN the original Star Wars universe could be made. If your a fan of the original Star Wars & are ok with playing games that you just relax in & eat @ the same time, there isn't and never has been anything like it. The only negative thing that should be pointed out is the computer is crazy hard to kill. I never beat the single campaign, but Played enough Multiplayer times to put it up here. *** A multiplayer game can last up to MONTHS *** You cannot play this game if arn't a Star Wars Fan. Thats why it got bad reviews I think.

--
40

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun

The 2nd Best of the Command & Conquer Strategic game series in my opinion after Red Alert. Its graphics were a bit lacking, but still a great single player experience as the Story was a bit on the darker side & you could play as NOD. Today, playing it, Its a bit hard to stay interested, but when It first came out. It was defiantly worth it.

--
41

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings

A great game filled with many options. The single campaign wasn't the most difficult, but custom Skirmishes / Multiplayer with your MODEM made this game Really awesome. the amount of things that happened all @ once was pretty ground breaking for a Stratigic Game. The balancing was good for game play & not insulting other countries pasts. Top 10 games for me.

--
42

Dune 2000

An anticipating game that was kind of a let down. When this game came out, IPX/SPX was dying out really fast as the Internet was pretty much starting to become a must. why Westwood never went to TCP/IP I'll never know. It was an interesting re-make, but left out some of the things that made the origional different from the companies other franshise, Command & Conquer. The music did't change when battles started. Race's specific units & why they used them was generalized. Every unit was made almost the same for all 3 races save 1 each. The fan community has re-made this game so it can be played on a 64 bit computer, you can download it for free from the community sites but please donate.

--
43

Diablo II

Truly a great followup to the original Diablo game. Adding in a story line that was 5X bigger, A run button, holding ALT so you can see everything on the ground, introducing Sockets to the genre. The only game that had cut-scenes that -almost- compared to the Final Fantasy series (VII-VIII). Another 10 games of all time for me. Diablo III was a repetitive huge disappointment

--
44

Emperor: Battle for Dune

A true Sequel to the Original Dune II : The building of a dynasty. Every aspect of this game was proper with the exception of LAN-Multiplayer being Unacceptably fast & not being able to form Enemy Teems to fight against, they were all free for all. Allowing each player to Choose a Sub-Faction brought a new type of fighting to the game. Multiplayer with your buddys in teams was great. The single player story line kind of felt cut off with an ending left you saying WTF? But its TCP/IP Multiplayer was were the game was. This was the Last Great Westwood Studios game to be made before Shi, tty asshole EA Bought them out. My only beef with EA is they don't let YOU trade YOUR games in that YOU bought (consoles). If your a Star Trek Fan, Michael Dorn plays the Attradies General. This was one of the first 3D Strategic games that once again took the genre a step forward. Westwoods Final game aloud them to go out with pride.

--
45

FreeSpace 2

A Graphically Superior game to the first (which was pretty amazing for its time) I felt the story line centering a lot around zenofibizm(?) is something that wouldn't happen after part 1 even though its many years latter, but that aside, the battles were pretty cool & it had a neat multiplayer mode that nobody would play with me because everyone hates Space Combat games that utilize every button on your keyboard. :(

--
46

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos

Another True Successor to the Warcraft Series. Having a 3D environment, being able to load other peoples custom maps & scenarios. A very different & balanced Racial Differences for whom to fight with. When Adding the expansion pack in, this in my opinion is one of Blizzard's last great games to come out as World of Warcraft is not fun @ all ( i tried it more then once from other people trying to get me into it), Starcraft II & Diablo III NOT Living up to their previous games both in Story telling & game content. This is another Top 10 game for me on the PC
