@jenovaschilld: That's a silly comparison considering Sony has already put some of their games on Steam. Getting TLoU on PC eventually is entirely within the realm of possibility.

@winny4u: You can scrub the OS and install whatever you want on it, just like any PC. It's even mentioned in the article above.

@voldrik: For what it's worth, on the FromSoftware side of things, they've made it explicitly clear that it isn't canonically related to Dark Souls. They talked directly about that in a recent interview after the new trailer dropped. They wanted fresh lore so that they wouldn't have to restrict themselves to being consistent with the established lore of other titles while working on this new project.

@Barighm: Who said he just figured this out? He was surely very aware of the lack of a long-term plan while working on the films, especially after they brought him back on for EpIX. This is just the first time he's made a public statement about the lack of planning.

@squishytia: While I can agree that is a problem that should be addressed and that storefronts have a responsibility to combat this, I just can't agree that the brunt of the blame for the "real problem" should be put on the storefront and not the actual people trying to exploit the second-hand market or those choosing to buy said products anyway. A major storefront cracking down is great, but scalpers will simply find other ways or places to conduct their business as usual.

@dragonsama: You're pointing fingers at the wrong places. There's nothing inherently wrong with auction and second-hand websites. At the end of the day, they're just storefronts and people are free to sell their stuff for whatever price they want in-person or on any number of websites including, but not limited to eBay. That's just how the commerce works.

eBay isn't the problem, the scalpers themselves are the problem and the real enablers are the people who keep buying these items from scalpers at inflated prices, which keeps demand and prices high. If people would just stop buying from scalpers, prices would go down or they would just give up on trying to rip people off altogether.

@WarGreymon77: @WarGreymon77:It was never just Reggie's decision, otherwise I think it would've happened ages ago. I doubt he's at liberty to discuss behind-closed-doors decision-making on localizations anyway. I'm sure a lot goes into deciding such things than we would think.

@jenovaschilld: I know what you mean, and I wish certain anime trends would move out quicker than theiy are, but not every show is like that. None of the shows in the article above have much, if any fanservice and the ones I've been watching (Sk8, Wonder Egg, Horimiya and Kimono Jihen) are all very character-driven. Other recent shows like Yashahime (a sequel to InuYasha) and Jujutsu Kaisen, a newer Shonen Jump series, seem like things that might be up your alley as well.

@rawkstar007: None of those services (except sometimes Hulu) are actively simulcasting new anime as they air. There just isn't much, if anything, from the currently airing shows to recommend on other services. The only show mentioned above that seems to be available elsewhere is Horimiya on Hulu. A few of Funimation's other current shows that didn't make this list are probably on Hulu too.

@Ospon: That's interesting. How early does he appear? The anime really makes it feel like the protagonist is sacrificing most of her free time to take care of her brother and do all the housework because of a single parent situation and a busy Mother. No reference has been made to the father yet. I'm curious now if he'll show up or if they actually took him out.
