After finishing the book and loving the movie, I cant help but think that an American Remake of the film would be a bad idea. I fear that the director may take out all the meaning to the film and turn it into a horror flick or worse - A Twilight Knock-Off. Still, there have been some exceptions. A Tale of Two Sisters remade into The Uninvited was a great film despite being forgettable. What do you all think of this?
I just watched the demo walkthrough for Avatar : The Game and I thought the whole thing looked really generic and boring. I reckon that without the 3D gimmick tacked on the game will be an unspectacular shooter and would only maybe get a 7.0. What do you guys think of it?

I still don't get why Avatar the game/movie isn't based on the actual show (Avatar the last Airbender). I mean, they have a movie named "The Last Airbender" but they left out the main title "Avatar". This is gonna trick people into watching the wrong movie/ play the wrong game and the people that makes those movies are gonna get flamed.
While I definately agree that calling the Avatar (show) movie "The Last Airbender" maybe wasnt the best decision (as well as choosing M.Night.Shymalarmalarmalarma as the director), I dont think people are going to get confused by it. But good point.
I first saw an ad for it on the back of the manual for SFIV and it said coming 2009. there is no talk about anywhere! is it even goingto be releasedin 2009 or is it delayed? it sure looks great

The game has been delayed till the first half of next year to avoid the christmas rush competition, like MW2 or HALO3:ODST. I agree that the game looks really promising from what I have seen, then again it will obviously be neglected since all these developers are practically moving christmas.

Just because I am nice guy I will elaborate on the story a bit. The main character is a 13 year old boy who lives with his dad outside the city. He spends most of his time wandering the desolate landscape with his dad looking for ways to bring nature back. There are clues in the story that the dad is a bit of a nut and is losing his mind a bit, he starts ranting about a government conspiracy to control people via the virtual reality game. Also in the city the sky in artificial too, but people dont really notice that because outside the city the sky is pretty much constantly grey and depressing so the government didnt like that much. Anyway the boy meets a girl of course and starts a friendship with her and tells her his dad's crazy conspiracy theory. She believes it more than him and one day decides to carry out one of the plans the boy's dad had to bring down the virtual reality game. She brings a gun to school, holds people hostage etc. and ends up being shot and killed, the boy's dad turns out to be a bit crazy and the boy is not allowed back out the city and has to move to a new house inside while his dad is taken away. So yeah nice uplifting story:) is 13 too young though considering the school shooting thing?

Thats a great story idea, and could probably work as a short story ora novel. But on the subject of age, I would say that 13 is to young. I once read a book called "Kill the Possum" (great book btw, but completely different to yours). Anyway, these teens (boy, boy, girl) 2 of which are bro and sis, plot to kill the siblings real dad as he torments the family constantly. Anyway, the main character was 15 or 16 and used a gun in the book, whereas the brother was 14 and it wouldnt have worked if the 14 year old had done it. So thats my reasoning, I basically just think a shooting is to full on fora 13 year old. 15 maybe. And what was the plan to bring down the Company?
