Even though there really hasn't been anything released for the 720, one thing is confirmed. A required always online connection in order to play games. Even single player mode. What a bunch of BS! I will not even consider putting a penny towards the damned console.

Sony has confirmed that the PS4 will not require an online connection. This already makes this a win for Sony in my book.

Eh, the reason MS gets all of the exclusives and early releases is because they pay the developers big $. MS knows they wouldn't be able to compete with PS3 otherwise. Its kind of like insurance for MS.

Yes Fall '10 woohoo! I've been waiting ever since I finished the Fallout 3 DLC.

Ugh wish I could play my Fallout 3 DLC's! They are so buggy and laggy it makes me not even want to play the game. But I am eager for New Vegas!

I'm going through BC2 withdrawals. Ever since they took the demo off, I've been craving it. To me, it was the best FPS out there. MW2 can go to hell, way too arcadey. It's not a proper military shooter if two people spot eachother down an alley and start strafe-dancing. That annoyed me, enough to return my copy of MW2. BC2 has just the right amount of pace and realism. I've never been impressed by CoD, to be honest. I would get MAG, but its 100% reliance on teamwork puts me off a bit. It's a great idea, but I can't see too many people actually working together, not in random matches anyways.

No, BC2 will be my multiplayer shooter fix. Nothing else compares.

I used to love MW2, but BC2 changed that. I hate it now. I don't want to play my playstation and feel like I am at a spammed, buggy arcade. BC2 actually feels like a real warsim. It is so realistic and the graphics and sound are amazing! Especially the destruction 2.0. I also love the squad based gameplay. People actually use their mic's to cooperate in this game, not talk sh*t to eachother for the whole time you are on the server with them. Not very many little kids are on this game either! Another plus. Also there are no perks to make everyone the speed of Sonic or have the ability to stab you with a knife from 20 feet away. Also, BC2 is more customizable than MW2... in a realistic way. I have been waiting for this game for months... I miss playing it. 5 days without it is too long.

I am going to the midnight realase for the game even though I have work at 6am Tuesday morning. I think a 9.5 is the perfect score for this game. BFBC2 FTW. GOTY 2010.

[QUOTE="dgtx42"]

Well mid game playing MW2 today my ps3 just shut off and had a blinking red light. I know it may have been an overheat, but it is still doing it several hours later. I am assuming its dead. Luckily I was able to get the game out. But I do have a question... My ps3 died today while playing MW2. My dad's friends ps3 died yesterday while playing MW2. I did a search on the forums and in the last month or so I have seen that two or three other peoples ps3 have died while playing MW2. Isn't there something kinda funky about that? I have the 20GB my dads friend has a 80GB, on person had the 120GB. Can MW2 be causing it or maybe a virus has been sent through the servers? Is that even possible?

Well, to dispel the thought, no... as of yet, there are no known ways to get a virus on a console, that would affect it. There may be instances where a virus could be in memory within a console, or a viral-infected piece of code (like script from a web page that is meant to execute malicious code), but usually these are targeted for running on x86 and intel/AMD x64 platforms... far different from the usually custom architectures that video game consoles would use to begin with. Secondly, I think it's just coincidence that your ps3's seem to have failed while playing MW2. Can you still turn on the system? Are you still able to operate it? How loud does it get when running? Have you tried cleaning the fans or vacuuming it out (with it switched off and unplugged, of course) ? Only thing I can honestly suggest is to get ready to pay $ony $150 per for repair, and hope they don't give you a neutered unit back.

It will run for about 30 seconds then briefly switch to a yellow light, then have a red blinking light. It runs quietly and blows cold air. As of now, it is inoperable. Also, I clean my playstation on a regular basis. I have been worried about it failing since I got it on the day of its release in 2006. I play it heavily so maybe its time has just past. Thanks for the replies though. I will probably go to Best Buy in a little bit and buy a new PS3. 20 GB is too small for me anyways and BC isn't a big deal for me. Also I would really enjoy the wifi on the slim.

BTW.... I find a very strange coincidence that so many peoples playstations are failing while playing MW2. Does anyone else agree with my suspicions?

That is really weird, my dads friends ps3 died yesterday mid-game playing MW2 as well. And guess what, today mid-game while my dad was playin MW2 on my ps3... it died. Can it be possible a virus may have been sent through MW2 servers or something? That is just too weird.

Primary: M21 EBR with an ACOG.

Secondary: M1014 with Red Dot.

Scavanger Pro

Stopping Power Pro

Commando Pro

It is just like using the M14 in COD:MW. Yet its more powerful and my K/D Ration has improved greatly since I started using this combination.

OMG! Both of yall probably failed geography. D.C. is not in any state. It is its own federal boundary.
