It's a little late to ban guns outright in the US. Virtually all of the criminals already have them, and it's not as if they'd be inclined to hand them over. As for lunatics getting their hands on a gun and shooting up a school or other public place - that's not an exclusively American problem.

I listened to it, but I felt it didn't shed any new light on the situation, it only confirmed that he wasn't fired solely because of the K&L review. I did find it good that they were all upset about it and they confirmed that GS is seperate from CNET, and it seems to be CNET that messed up here. Unfortunately, GS will probably suffer from CNET's mistake.

Gamespot is "separate" from Cnet, yet Cnet calls the shots when it's time to trapdoor a Gamespot employee... that's not separate at all.
