My mouse model is VOLtech Internet Optical Mouse FC-142 Black. Just found out.
My previous mouse broke - the optical sensor (for some reason) broke all of a sudden. That mouse was old already, so I forgot about it and just went to get another (backup) mouse that has been hidden in my drawer for about half a year.
Using the new mouse, I've been gaming smoothly throughout the rest of the night, with my middle mouse button still working properly. I play Blackshot. MMB = throw grenade, so I've been using it (as you can say) all night. But when I'm surfing the web later on (I usually use the MMB to open tabs/close tabs), the MMB disconnects my mouse from my USB port. I don't know about a restart yet, too lazy to do it since I'm about to sleep already anyway.
But carrying on, my mouse disconnected and reconnected back to my computer every time I press the middle mouse button. My MMB has a blue light enamating out of it. When turned off/unplugged, the light disappears (obviously). So, whenever I click the MMB, the light switches off, then switches back on. It's not a gaming mouse, it's not made by logitech, microsoft or any famed company you can think of. It's made in China, without a company name. There's no warranty either. All I know is that it's a mouse bought at a computer repair shop (cheap and good service there), and it's distributed by Beyond Magnetics Pte Ltd (Singapore). There is NO warranty. And I don't want to spend money buying a new mouse when this one can still be used, only with a faulty MMB.
I already tried switching the USB ports from the back to the front, trying to update drivers (there were no updates of course) and sifting through the mouse options in the control panel. Nothing.
In short (very short indeed) - TL;DR, MMB has some problems, when clicked, reconnects the mouse from the computer (known by the light switching off and back on, and that sound which signifies that a usb device has connected to the system). Been alright since an hour ago.
Please help. Thanks.
Btw, I'll post the results of a restart by the time I wake up tomorrow.
Just last week I turned the bass level for my subs all the way to the max just to play around with it a bit.
However, this week is just terrible. Now my sub just keeps going off randomly, when the speaker is on (no sound played, at desktop, idling)
I don't know if this means that the sub just died.
My speakers are working fine, nothing strange coming from them.
Even with the bass all the way to the minimum, the sub still goes off randomly at the same low sound and there's a lot of wind coming from it.
In the meantime, can anyone tell me how do I turn unplug the sub without getting my speakers down as well?
i jus created my profile yesterday and hav been trying to add friends ever since. :X
when i click add a friend, it just gives me this msg: Some features of the Steam Community become available once you have games in your Steam account.
but i already hav portal and alien swarm in my steam account. so why isnt it letting me add any friends?
anyone has had the same problem?
i opened up the mouse last night. dumb thing to do i guess.
tried putting it back together... but after i plugged it in, the entire mouse didnt really work (only rmb worked).
and i got a new mouse.
please close this thread. kinda useless now.
nah.. this isnt a tutorial.
i am using a normal compaq mouse (came wif my computer). just yesterday the wheel was working ok... with the clicking sound when i scroll.
but today i realised that the wheel was loose, too loose. like very smooth, no restrains. the clicking sound was gone.
let me explain. when scrolling the mouse, you will hear clicks and the wheel will move segment by segment. right?
now it isnt moving segment by segment. it just becomes a wheel. u scroll it, it runs free.
oh.. and when i move the mouse, the scroll moves as well. heard this had something to do with a rubber band inside the mouse or something.
how do i fix this?
do i throw it down the building or something? im quite scared to open up my mouse since well... things happen. lol.
any help on this issue?
thanks in advance. :O
