I'm just so pissed - I relied on User Scores more than GS Reviews. Now, those scores are useless for any multi-platform game that has any variation in quality across the platforms. And why? Why why why did they change this???? WHY, BY ALL THAT'S JUST AND HOLY?!?!?!

C'mon people - send emails and make comments to GameSpot about not aggregating user scores for multi-platforms games! I don't want to see an average User Score that incorporates all versions of a game, including mobile ports!!!! If PS3 comes out with the definitive version of a game, and a PC port just sucks, let the separate User Score averages for each game reflect that! Otherwise, the average User Score is just about useless. Moreover, it's Communist to force good user scores to be brought down by crappy user scores for bad ports! WHO'S WITH ME????

@Evilgenius4u69 @derek314 Gamespot has, by far, the most user reviews of any website. IGN is second, usually with about half as many user scores, GameFaqs a distant third. The more people rating a game, the closer you get to an accurate approximation of the game's value (as much as you can get from something like that). And if I do value it, and I'm likely not the only one, why would Gamespot screw with it like this?

@Evilgenius4u69 @derek3143 It is true - check out any multiplatform game. And Metacritic has faults (a) not nearly as many users rate games (b) no ratings for games pre-2001.

Where is the outrage about the user reviews??? The new site aggregates all user reviews for a multi-platform game. So say I want to look for a good PS3 game, and I look at User Reviews. If that PS3 game also has a crappy PSP port, all the bad user reviews for the PSP port are now included in the overall score for the game!!! Making the user review number completely and utterly useless. It's horrible.

@Born_Lucky You can sort them? I tried to sort, but then it went back to all games (not just PS2 reviews). Ugh.

Isn't anyone but me pissed off that they screwed up the user reviews by aggregating scores across platforms????

If you value "user averages" like I do, ready to be pissed off? For multi-platform games, there's now only 1 "User Average", and as far as I can tell, there's no way to get a breakdown. So if 500 people give a great PS3 game a 9.2, then they come out with a crappy PSP version of the game, and 500 people give it a 7.2, you know what you're going to see as the user average? 8.2 for 1000 people. With no way to see whether people are talking about the PS3 version or the PSP version. It renders "user average" pretty much useless for any cross-platform game that has any difference in quality between the versions. This really sucks ass.
