A much better ending than the original travesty, but 1) this is still a deux ex machina ending, which I consider unworthy of the franchise. Also, 2) the old man and his "my sweet" talking about the stars like something distant and unnatainable leads me to conclude that there was in fact no rebuilding after the relays were destroyed. The galaxy remains isolated. So I appreciate the effort Bioware, and it restores some good will with me for the sake of future purchases, Mass Effect is still dead to me and this ending doesn't change that.
Spare us the "artistic integrity" claptrap. Studios want to stay in business, and customers want bang for their buck. That's not art, that's commerce and entertainment. Bioware knows this, and we know this. So quick dikking us around or you'll regret it.
Sorry, but no amount of DLC will change how rushed this game felt. I blame EA for that. So how bout you just get it right next time (if there is a next time, because that's the last game I pre-order from Bioware/EA).
