Ok..I own both consoles and im wondering on which console should i buy Call of Duty MW2..I only care about the online gaming servers because I have a slow internet...Are they gonna use on the ps3 sony's system because they run lag-free on my connection...

Thank u guys.

SolidTy

The Actual Internet Performance for each game should be the same.

As far as preference, do what ever. I personally have 70+ friends on each of my friends lists, but most of my PS3 friends are playing U2, and Demon's Souls, whereas my 360 list is playing ODST and GeoW2.

The hype for this game is decent for both systems on my FL. I think I will probably buy it on PS3, due to me trying to avoid RROD, but to each their own.

I would buy this game for my 360 in a heartbeat, problem is, I'm also concerned about the RROD. Other than exclusives, I've decided to just purchase games for my PS3 rather than my 360. I've had so much experience with the RROD that it just makes more sense for me to purchase non-exclusive games for my PS3. Xbox Live is fantastic, along with the exclusive DLC, yet I don't trust my (360) hardware anymore.

Hey Crush, I just spotted it in an e-mail Sony sent me recently. I can't wait to download it.

Titan

Last night I lost alot of sleep, playing the Epic Unreal Tournament 3 online. First I downloaded thisTitan of a MOD pack, Map pack, whatever you want to call it. Over the past month UT3 has changed alot, and for the better. I am really impressed with all they have done for this game, and for the PS3/PC community. If any readers are lost, heres an explanation -

The Titan Pack is -16 new maps + 3 bonus pack 1 maps, Titan mutator, Greed and Betrayal game types, Stinger Turret, Eradicator Cannon Artillery and the Stealthbender vehicle, X-Ray Field and Link Station Deployables, Slow-Field power-up (pickup version of the deployable of the same name),Two new characters: Nova (Liandri) and Kana (Ronin), 57Trophys to earn, Major enhancements, including AI, network performance, menu and UI, better mod support, Client-side demo recording, updated server browser, new maplist system, mid-game mutater and game type voting functionality.

It's also free, about 550mb and found in the Playstation Store.

My impressions: For non-owners of the game but enjoy shooters, now is a great time to check UT3 out. For people that know, I had a blast last night, I hosted a match for up to 8 players with bots enabled, within 5 minutes the room was full of real players for 3 and a1/2 hours srtaight. It's a total blast to get your titan meter full and right when you get in front on someone, turn into a titan, and it just feels like the other dude drops his jaw and runs, lol, it's awsome :D

For all the legit info you could possibly want - Go Here ;)

[QUOTE="darrenfps"][QUOTE="zombie_corn"]it just occured to me that we're all arguing over something that we have no control over. i think it's more that all the PS3 hardcore fanboys (read as: guys who will go to the grave saying that the PS2 had better graphics than the xbox1, and think the PS3 has superior graphics to the 360) don't want to see the ONE promising game that console has be available to their bitter rivals (read as: anyone who owns or has owned anything other than a Sony produced platform). you don't need to worry. if MGS4 ever does go multiplatform, you can all still brag about how it only needs one disc on PS3, and how you all played it before the rest of us, and how the graphics are waaaaaaay better, and all that garbage. the only thing i care about is if i'll get a chance to play it, cause i'm not dropping $400+ on a system for one game.zombie_corn

I agree with everything you've just said. Well done

Thank you, I appreciate that. And since I'm posting in this stupid topic again, why do all you PS3 fans make multi disks out to be a bad thing? Wasn't FFVII on like, 4 disks? You're just grasping at reasons it won't go multiplat. Stricly from a business point of view, it's the smartest move to make. Would you rather sell lemonade to your neighbors, or to your neighborhood? But whatever. You can have MGS4 exclusive for a few months. I'll just keep myself entertained with the exclusive new missions for GTA4 which will be available from xbox live this fall.

Heres the thing.I own an Xbox 360 and an 80 GB PS3 (along with MGS4),and I still have no problem with it coming to the 360.Its a third party game, why not let everyone join in on the fun.

here's the thing about "exclusives". they are owned and produced by FIRST PARTY. This means Microsoft produces Halo, Nintendo produces Mario, and Sony produces Gran Turismo. The chances of these games going multiplatform are 0%. The only reason Halo is on PC is because most PC's run Microsoft software (Windows, Vista).

Games like GTA, DMC, and yes, MGS are THIRD PARTY, meaning they are published by seperate companies Rock Star, Capcom, and Konami, respectfully. This means it's the decision of that company as to which platforms these games are released on. For a long time, GTA was out on Playstation long before it hit Xbox, meaning it's not exclusive. The first three DMC games were exclusive to the PS2, but if you look at the numbers, more people own a 360 as compared to a PS3 (due in part to 360 being released first) so Capcom made a business decision, and released DMC4 on all platforms. As for MGS, it's happened before. MSG2 came out on the box after it was out for the PS2 for a few months. Heck, the original MGS was ported to Gamecube, and Snake even makes an appearance in Smash Bros. for the Wii.

Basically what I'm saying is, this is going to eventually happen. The bottom line for third party producers is to make $$$. First party producers don't need to worry about it as much, because the studio makes money directly from the parent company. This means Halo 3 can be xbox exclusive, because it's funded directly by sales of other games, consoles, hardware, and anything else Microsoft makes money from. A company like Konami depends solely on the software it produces. Konami gets there money from the number of games sold, not the number of PS3's sold, so it would make sense to get the product out to a larger audience.

I know all you PS3 fanboys need a solid exclusive to be excited about, but by lying to yourselves that MGS4 is not going multiplatform is just setting you up for a big disappointment in a year or two. But, you should be happy with the fact that by the time MGS4 does hit the 360, you all will have played through it a few times before.

Finally, somebody actually gets it. Well said.

Why does it matter? I don't care what exclusives for the xbox 360 become multiplatform. Lost odyssey's my favorite game for it and if it goes for the ps3 it wont bother me at all. I'd love for ps3 users to experience the game because i enjoyed it. I never understood why people cared so much about exclusives being "lost".

Anyway you might just be joking but i wasn't directing this soley on you.

It's cool. I think the problem has to do with the sales and the friendly competition the consoles go through. I don't know the facts, but I'm guessing if a console doesn't sell well, they're going to eventually die because of poor sales. Then the ppl that make the games aren't gonna want their games on a poor console. Those few that love the console don't wanna see the console die.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is helping keep the PS3 alive. I'm not exactly sure how each console is doing.. but I know that the PS3 has a lot of ****** games. I like the PS3 and I'd be a little bit disappointed if it ports over to Xbox 360, though I have both.

If the PS3 could survive with MGS4 going to Xbox, then I don't mind. Again, I just don't wanna see the PS3 go bye bye.

Your point is valid, yet a tad overcooked.Sony will survive no matter where MGS4 ends up going.Sony has a great platform and plenty of loyal owners, just like the 360 and Wii. MGS4 going to the 360 might sting a bit,but it wouldn't overwhelm Sony to the point of oblivion, therefore I wouldn't be to concerned about that. Besides,If Sony's platform has so much graphic power, then MGS4 coming to the 360 should make Sony fans realize how good they got it.

Give it a year or 2 or what ever and it probably will.
i mjust looking at history. MGS2 did....but then again MGS3 didnt. but that could be cuz by the time MGS3 came out xbox wasnt worth having.

either way i cba to talk about these kinds of matters cuz well even if all you guys come to a joint decision together it wont make a bit of difference now will it?

Just please dont buy a PS3 just for one game

pete_merlin
This guy has it right. The reason MGS3 didn't make it to the original Xbox, was simply because the Xbox was headed toward the Next Generation of gaming, and a port would have been essentially worthless at that point. So lets not all assume it was a matter of loyalty to the PS2,It was smart business.

Didn't Kojima himself say something about MGS starting on Sony's console and staying faitful to both Sony and it's fans? He said Snake Eater would never be on the Xbox and it never did. I believe he said the same about MGS4.. but I don't know...

Does it really matter? Not to me, I got my copy.

IT'S FREAKING BADASSSS!!1

Kojima has made plenty of hints along the way about multiple platforms and MGS4. Its only a third party title, not a first party locked in exclusive.

I don't see it happening... Mr. Kojima wouldn't do this to us! :(

I myself have always had the viewpoint of why not share.I mean its like you said, who cares about which exclusives go where. I stand by my original comment on this issue,Third party software exclusives, are not always so exclusive.I can see first party software staying where it belongs, but as far as third party software (and so-called) exclusives like MGS4 are concerned....I say share the joy !!!

In the interview Konami gave to gamespot, you can find it in the front page. He mentioned that he was thinking of how he can make the game avaliable to all consoles, its designed for the PS3, but why would he say he's thinking of making the game avaliable to all consoles. I'm pretty much sure wii isnt getting it, so it must be the 360. What are your feelings, thoughts on this?

xchiefmegadethx

If the man him self said that, then who are we to call him a lier?

So you Fanboys going to call the man a lier?

bring it on!

I like this guy.
