For the Wii, Deca Sports and Mario & Sonic at the winter olympics both have curling. There is also a third curling game for the Wii being released by a company in Winnipeg.

The DS already has a curling game, Curling DS.

The Xbox 360 has none of note - it is included in one of the winter sport compilations, but that's about it. I'm hoping that the addition of online multiplayer will be enough of a draw to capture some interest, as none of the above games have it.

Just a quick update on the curling front - Curling 2010 is about to be released in the Xbox 360 indie games section, so I'll post back soon to let you know whether or not it actually is viable to produce a curling game. You can check out updated screenshots and a feature list here on Gamespot.

Thanks for the feedback.

There are no plans for the PS3, but the PC is still a possibility post Xbox launch. I'd say the Wii as well, but there is already one curling game out and one in the works, so probably not.

No worries, that's a valid complaint. It won't be for everyone, that's for sure.

We've tried to strike a balance between keeping the game realistic from a physics and gameplay POV while making it more fun. For example, the gameplay speed is faster than most curling games, because who has hours to play a single match? Also, while you can play with the standard rules and setup, you can also choose to play 4 player matches, with four different teams. It definitely a different game at that point.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm an independent game developer planning on releasing a Curling game on the Xbox 360 (Indie Games) in the coming months and was looking to gather some opinions on what people would like to see in a curling video game.

I plan to fully support traditional matches and a skins game, along with practice mode and a target practice mini-game. All modes other than practice can be played over Xbox LIVE, and can support up to four players.

If anyone has played curling games in the past and felt they were missing something or if you simply have general comments about what you would like to see I'd be grateful for your thoughts. A warning up front: the graphics (or lack thereof) are all placeholder at the moment - it won't be this ugly. You can check out the video and game details here: dadoogames.com

The following feedback (while humerous and certain to be provided) is not required:

  • curling sucks
  • curling is not a sport
  • this game is ugly (I know :D already)

Thanks
