I'm sure they're super jelly.

FPSs aren't a dime a dozen these days.

I have no doubt that the tablet and smartphone gaming markets will continue to expand, diversify, and mature at a fast pace over the coming years. The user base is huge, and the tech is progressing at an astonishing rate.

Naturally, casual games will continue to reap the most profits, but there will be a growing number of users in niche markets who will demand better games with higher production values that will compete directly will those offered on dedicated handheld hardware.

Will they replace dedicated devices? Who knows, but if I were a handheld developer, then I'd start taking a serious look at the tablet and smartphone markets.

Games like Railroad Tycoon or Sim City tend to have relatively friendly, mature fanbases.

[QUOTE="Tessellation"]quite weak if we go by the rumored 16 cores on the next xbox.AM-Gamer

Doesnt the Xbox rumors feature a garbage GPU?

I'll go out on a limb and predict that the next Xbox and Playstation will have essentially identical hardware.

You'll have one AMD brand PC with slight tweaks to components that'll serve no purpose other than to differentiate the two.

The Xbox may have an extra chip or core(s) for the Kinect. :woo:

If those are remotely true, the Wii U will be a generation behind since the tahiti models are the 79xx.

GD1551

Which means absolutely nothing.

That single precision performance is roughly on par with the low end Pitcairn. It's not even close to the 7950, let alone the 7970.

Not to imply that the WiiU will be comparable, but the order of magnitude won't be what you are expecting.

This thread makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

That was the last FPS that I sunk a respectable amount of time into playing.

Something tells me Sim City is going to be ****; possibly worse than Cities XL.

I'd say hopefully the mod community can save the game like they did with SC4 and the Network Addon Mod, but the always-on BS may hinder that.

Ofc it will be cracked, but that will make it hard for folks like Simtropolis to officially get behind these endeavors.

As always, FU, EA.

What if you play mostly PS2 games on your PC?

HYPOTHETICALLY, ofc.
