I'm still using the stock fan and my CPU runs about 60 degrees normally which scares me when I'm playing Crysis Warhead and it is getting hotter than that. So what is a good fan within $40-55? and if possible no LEDs or red LEDs onlyI hope you are talking Fahrenheit at 60. Anyway, I am tired and am to lazy to link. http://www.partspc.com/ProductDetails.asp?CatID=780&ProdID=12014 . It is 39 bucks after YOU send in the rebate. 53 and change before hand. Take care, and good grief, I am going to sleep ;^) .

[QUOTE="crzycespy"][QUOTE="DieselCat18"][QUOTE="PESDan"]So if I got a DVI cable for my 19" widescreen LCD at 1024x768, it wouldn't make a difference?DieselCat18
yes....big difference !
It would not make a difference if his vid card or lcd needed an adapter to make it happen. If I were him, with the described problems, I would run through the motions. Unplug and replug my video cables. Try the pc on a different monitor. Re-seat my Video Card (ie. take it out, then put it back in) then reboot. Then my RAM, if that did not fix it. Then update all my drivers. Then scan for viri if those did not help. Did anyone read his post? He has discolorations in Word of all things...Yes I did read his post...his original thread question above....and the answer to that is YES...it does and will make a difference with the quality.....I did not feel a need to read further about any additional issues he may have been having pertaining to anything other than graphics. If someone is looking to improve their visual quality, then using a DVi cable will certainly do that. And in his opening statement, he made no mention of the need to use an adapter.

No worries. It happens. Initial question VGA vs. DVI. You answered the initial quandary; without reading further. It is kinda like a typoe. We rarely mean them, but they happen on occasion (I usually don't read everything either) . I am in rare form this evening. My wife is in bed, I slept late, and I find myself with a couple of hours to help; for fun. No deadlines; just help. I like that.I did not read the rules...gigaprosCan I please C_Jump this solicitor? A big sequential language jump up that says "I am a not following the terms of service" = "yes"? Can I leave a funny message in his post? Then you cannot delete it? Obvioulsly no. But that post was, well, a marketing thing. Get 'em. Or let me. I can be really fun; honest.

He has discolorations in Word of all things...I'm not sure that anyone in here knows what they are talking about. The single biggest difference that anyone will notice between DVI and VGA are the colors. DVI shows rich colorful images while VGA shows a much washed out image in comparison. Taylorgc2004Nah, some of the responses are legit. Some dated, but legit. ie. a 16-32ms response time for a 19" lcd with a dvi hookup is fair, if the person paid 2500+ dollars 9 years ago (In the US). Then we run into the problem of finding video cards that supported dvi in 99. I can't think of one, but I am sure that DDWG had something to power their new tech. Anyway, to agree with many, dvi is superior, just as hdmi trumps the afore mentioned dvi (Not in picture quality, but carrying audio and high def video at quick response rates obviously beats just carrying video). As an addendum I'll note that adding a dvi adapter to a video card with just a vga, or an lcd with only a vga makes no difference in picture quality. Take care Ces
