@monkey_seeker: Finally a Educated guy talking proper technology stuff ! So mate, I dig in and bought the controller already and yes its the newer iteration.

I have gone with Bluetooth one as its simple to connect to PC and I don't use headsets, as I am too happy with my Bose 5.1 setup :)
Also, I can confirm that all trigger rumbles work over Bluetooth as well.

PS: Thanks a lot for fantastic explanation with illustrations. Hopefully somebody in the future will benefit from this post.

Okay Npiet1 above said there is one one type of wireless controller and others are talking about connectivity only - I have Bluetooth Mobo :-)

So, now is there actually 2 varities of controllers - Xbox One & One S ?

I am new to Xbox and want to use the Xbox Wireless Controller on my Win 10 PC and like to ask... what care I have to take while purchasing it ?

Is there different types of wireless controller for Xbox S and Xbox X ?

I also understand there was some update by Microsoft to controllers, so how to make sure it is the latest revision ?

Also, will I get Rumbles & vibration on most games ?

Buddy, i have similar loose scroll wheel/rattle issue...

Have you replaced your's ? The new replacement is perfect ?

I just got my G500 and i have noticed tht, when the scroll wheel is in free mode and i start using my mouse i can feel a slight thud of the wheel moving (almost like a loose part).

when the scroll wheel is locked, the problem occurs but very very slightly.

So, is this the way the mouse is ?
