The only collector's edition game I've ever bought was Skyward Sword, and that had a nice new Wiimote and the Anniversary Soundtrack. I think that overall, the cost was less than buying the game and a Wiimote separately.

@zeno99 There wouldn't be a difference if there were higher speced hardware for the slim versions. Specs make a difference in PC games because games are made to be scaleable, that is, they're programmed so that you can choose different graphics quality levels for different hardware. It takes effort to code that, and generally has to be redone for each platform you release a game for. So if there were different hardware in the old PS3 and the Slim, to take advantage of it, developers would have to add new code. Either that, or make games Slim exclusive, which would piss off Old PS3 owners.

@T-Sub96 Minecraft's system requirements are pretty low. You don't need a gaming PC for it. If you buy pre-made computers, any desktop bought in the last 2 years that's more than $400 should cut it. For laptops, I would say $600.

Perhaps they should do a game on the warring kingdoms of ancient India. The fortresses and weapons they built were very unique.

Sony should have let people upgrade the Blu-Ray drive in the PS3 with a computer's drive rather than make people scramble to speed-pinch with these capped out hard drive speeds.
