My First 1000/1000 Gamerpoints

by on

When it comes to getting Achievements and Gamerpoints some people have a easier time getting them and/or have the means to get the Achievements some people can not, like the online kind.(the kind I can't get. No broadband.:x) However, I finally hit a milestone. I got my first 1000/1000 Gamerscore.:D The gamein question is......drum roll please.... Duht duht duht duht duht duht duht ok so I can't do a good drum roll. I think thats why I don't play Rock Band.:P Anyways, where was I? Oh yeah the game. Well it was Assassin's Creed II. Hurray for me:D I finally got all the Achievements in a game.

I know some of you may be thinking, "Whoopty doo Justin!", "You just now do that?":o, or "Meh, there went five minutes I'll never get back.":| But for me its something I thought I wouldn't really do, because of my ADD/ADHD I don't play one game for very long before I start thinking about a different game in my collection and start wanting to play it. A lot of the time I'll be play one game on the 360 and one on the PS3.:D My tv has two HDMI ports one for each console and I just switch between the two channels when I get bored with one.

Unfortunately, I won't get to celebrate to much since I read that AC2 will be releasing DLC in the next few months and you know what that means. "Ohhh Noooo!":o Yep, more Achievements for the game that I can't get because of my "Broadbandlessnessly Challenged" predicament as I told you before.(yeah I made that up.:P)

I could go over to a buddies house and use his Internet connection. But when I do that we can't play anything for a while the content is downloading and that can take some time. Most likely thats what I'll do:D but finding the time to do it is the problem.:?

Is It The End For Single-Player Focused Games?

by on

It seems to me that almost everyone is caught up in this online multiplayer video games these days. Most of the games that are coming out have some sort of multiplayer mode, doesn't matter if its good or not, it has one. It also seems that developers are focusing more on it than they are on the game's storyline, gameplay, and other stuff like that in the game. Those things are what really should be focused on and not just coming up with more maps and perks that serve no purpose for the people that don't play online.

Almost the only games that are single-player focused are the RPGs and they are going MMO or MMO only. Look at Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, it was a great game and a lot of people were and still are looking forward to a third game in the series. However, the developers decided to make the next installment of the series MMO-Only. Don't get me wrong I've played online and it is fun, but multiplayer isn't everything. Why shorten the length of a game just so more time can be spent on developing extra maps and perks for the game so it will have them on release day. Why not use that same time and put in new characters, items, plot twists, and/or new locations and missions. Because not everyone has access to high-speed internet and it is required just to use multiplayer.

If having multiplayer in the game is a must and to some it is.Why not have it in DLC later. That way the people who do have broadband can download it and use it and for the people that don't, well they have a game that is more focused to them that don't have things in it that they can't use.

I'm not saying I don't like the games that do have online abilities. But to me, its seems that publishers and developers are pushing for more online gaming in hopes that players will buy expansions, online-only useble items, and map packs. I do know that making games are not cheap and their in it to make money. But why make a game that can only be fully enjoyed is to have broadband internet access and a membership/account for it. And both of them you have to pay for monthly.

No Midnight Release For Me!!!

My boss called me around 4:30 pm and asked if I would come in early because another tech called-in so the casino didn't have a tech. Well I thought I would just have to work the other tech's shift which was 4pm-12am and that would have let me be able to go by gamestop and pick up the game, but it did work out that way. I have to stay and work my shift too which is 12am-8am, so now I get off of work at 8am. However, Gamestop doesn't open until 10am, so I got to wait for them to open. But look at the bright side, my next check will be better.

Well I Thought About It.

I thought long enough and I got Uncharted 2. I don't remember what chapter I'm at but I've found the Temple and left whats her name from the 1st game and her cameraman to explore it. So far I like the game better than the 1st one.

by on

I've read a few articles saying that Zipper Inc or Slant Six are making a second SOCOM for PS3.

However, all of them are from a couple years back and they all say that there is a 2nd SOCOM fo rthe PS3 being made, but I can't find anything recent about it or how for is it from being released.

I Finally Got A PS3.

by on

I got a PS3 today because I wanted one for a while. I got it used from Gamestop because I wanted the 60gig so I could play my PS2 games again. I got inFamous and MGS4 for it, I'm playing inFamous right now and so far I like it. But now I have a PS3 and a 360 when I get new games I'll have trouble deciding which one I get it for.
