This is my review for Resident Evil 5, I haven't gotten the game myself, but beat it with a friend.
I'm not going to spoil the beginning of the game or any of the story, just 1 thing, all of you know Wesker is in it obviously.
This game isn't meant to be called "RESIDENT EVIL", it's very different from other RE games. This is a very good action game, yeah you read that right ACTION GAME. Any fan of action games will certainly love this game, many Resident Evil fans will like the game, others will not. BIO 5, is an amazing game and is very fun to play with a friend, and takes a bright new step in the series, it's very much like it's Predecessor Resident Evil 4, is that a bad thing? Certainly not! RE5, expands on what made RE4 so special, adding a tweaked up, better version of the action button and make physical attacks that will make you go "OH SNAP!" every time, they're just very exciting to watch. It improves on the over the shoulder camera and now, thankfully you can move left to right in some situations. The first thing you'll notice is the graphics are absolutely amazing, not as good as Killzone 2 though lol, and I'm surprised the 360 can handle those graphics, the sound effects are amazing as well, except for the handgun you get at the beginning, which sounds the exact same way as the HG in RE4. Even though it says "FEAR YOU CAN'T FORGET" this game isn't scary at all, even though Resident Evil 4 was more on action, it still managed to pack in 7 or 8 very good scares, unlike RE5 which has no scares. It isn't bad at all, you shouldn't have a problem with it because Resi 5 still delivers the tension when hordes of Maijini surround you and knowing you only have 1 clip left on you're handgun, immerses you more. Unlike RE4, you're stuck with 9 inventory slots, you can't buy bigger cases of some sort and in a way it's good and bad, the good is that it immerses you and tells you how to choose wisely. The bad is that it's in real-time, so you can't pause and let your enemies wait for you to kill them:P The boss fights are very good, but, since they all practically look the same, it kinda gets boring, but in a good way they are all different and some require serious teamwork. Like RE4, RE5 has some exciting extras that will leave you playing the game over and over to unlock them. The mercnaries mode is fun, but it's still single player, it would have been more fun if it was still co-op. This game never gets old:) Now for the puzzles, like previous RE games the puzzles were challenging and fun, in RE5, there's only a few very easy puzzles and one that's very very very very very similar to RE4 (that puzzle in RE5 is on chapter 4-2) and I like it more well because I don't have to break my controller in half to figure out a puzzle:D That is pretty much it. The ending is similar to Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, you know, escape in a helicopter..THEN CHRIS, SHEVA AND JILL ARE SO HAPPY TO LEAVE KIJUJU, THEY HAVE A BIG THREESOME IN THE HELICOPTER
1. Excella is too hot to die (Play the game to find out)
2. Wesker is too badass to die(I'm assuming all of you know that)
3. You can't switch weapons with your partner in an online game, which makes the game harder depending on your weapons
Story: Average- 7/10
