You know, think what you will of Michael Moore, but he made a really good point in his film "Bowling for Columbine", in which he asks if bowling should be held responsible for the events that took place at Columbine. After all, it was what the killers were doing right before the event.
This game should really be called Counter Strike: Source 2.0. It's great, but it's still on Source. Everything that you just described could have been done in a free update.
Crouching is essentially ADS. Besides, ADS and CS wouldn't go together too well. CS is about a combination of speed, accuracy and teamwork. If there was an ADS, that's a half-second longer than not using it. Everyone who's played CS knows that a half-second is the difference between life and death. And aiming is less accurate, even if your shots are more accurate. Plus without ADS, less people will go "gung-ho", cause it won't feel like COD.
Well, if there are two versions of a game, and one version has been out for a while, and they are both in the same price ball park, and one version is inferior, then why not compare the two? If the PC version is better than the XBOX version, then it deserves a higher score because, as customers, we want the most bang for our buck. That's why we read reviews in the first place.
I see games as an art form, an art form that should be preserved. I love the fact that I can go online and buy the original Goldeneye 007 for the n64. In fact, that's the only way that I can buy it because Nintendo doesn't publish that version anymore. All of these copies of Goldeneye (unless you spend a fortune) are used copies. There might be a great game on the Xbox 720 that I'll want to play in 15 years because I never got around to playing it when it came out. If they don't allow used games on their systems, I can't get that game in 15 years. I can only imagine how the game was. That would be terrible for the art form. So please "Big Three", don't do this.
